  • We put in our full application on 22 August after getting dip on 18th August. So far they've asked for something else every 3-4 days which we've sent within an hour of request. With the weekends etc we are still in underwrite stage. They requested something to proof affordability Friday just gone and according to our ma that's the last check before valuation. With it being on a Friday request (always seems to be) it means we will now be waiting til at least Wednesday before we know if that'll be accepted and we can move forward to valuation. If not it'll be another bit of info to send and another week of waiting.
I'm praying valuation to final underwrite to offer proceeds quicker than the 5 weeks they've already had with our case. They can't possibly need anything from us. Weve sent them everything you can possibility need. The list goes on forever.
That sounds like us, 5 weeks now and been told another 2 before they look at the stuff end we get an update

Depending on if you are using help to buy you will have another 15+ days to wait and also dependent on your deposit you may need to satisfy more requirements to complete (solvency declaration) and then you need to go through the usual exchange completion process.

Oh yes thats true. At the moment it feels like everything else will be easier relative to the hassles of the mortgage application.

Its one less step to deal with and a big one at that so don't let me take away from that feeling of accomplishment but just be aware there are still more things to come. I'm waiting for Authority to exchange currently. 2 weeks and waiting
  • It states on help to buy webisite that AUTHORITY TO EXCHANGE is 8 working days .. authority to proceed 7 days .. soon as my authority to proceed got to the 4th day ( at time was only 3 working days wait ) MY Ma just emailed them and they had it done that day .. I’m on 3rd day of 8 day wait now for authority to exchange , solictor said soon as its the 9th if they haven’t sent it he will get it then by nudging them . All HTB agents working from home.. suppose it depends on the relationship your MA and solicitor has with them

  • suppose you are in using a different help to buy centre which has better waiting times.
  • I'm agent 1 for the north and we are looking at 7 working days. Our solicitor has said though after we get the go ahead from HTB they then have to go back to Bluestone and get their authority too. Unsure how long that will take, hopefully wont be too bad.
