  • I haven’t heard of them, we went with Brightstar as my MA has a good relationship with them. How have positive lending been for you? Has anyone had any good experiences with Brightstar?

Positive lending have been ok so far to be honest, no issues yet, but I don’t want to speak to soon lol. Where in the process are you if you don’t mind me asking?

  • We should be right at the end of the process, we have had our valuation and sent over every piece of information requested and some. We had been told 2 weeks ago that our offer would be issued to then be told they need another piece of information that they already had, so I don’t actually know how close We are to offer. It’s great that’s things have gone smoothly for you so far.

Our MA have used Brightstar to secure a mortgage with Bluestone, so far its been fine in terms of turnaround times. I guess you have to account for the chain, ourselves the MA, Brightstar and Bluestone - I think peoples expectations vary with the application process, we're going through this route to secure a mortgage because of whatever complexities. A little time waiting is a small sacrifice if the outcome is favourable. Stay positive.

We’ve had this problem to it’s been on final underwrite for 4 weeks now and each time they look. Say they need something else we give it and then wait another 2 weeks we’ve given them everything now only thing they need will be my dna

It’s interesting to hear your side of events too! We acknowledge we are with this lending for a reason and that’s absolutely fine. I’m sure we will all get there in the end.

Our application went in, the start July.. We still don't have an offer because of wanting various documents and there wait times. Its hard but keep patient
  • Does anyone know the waiting times for them looking at submitted documents? We are at first underwrite and had some additional things requested... how long does it take for an update on that?

Honestly can be anything from 2 days to 10 days at the moment... I'd say your looking about 5 days as an average
