Bluestone Mortgages

That’s good that they have been understanding. Like you said - at the end of the day they all want our money!
We have been told today that there is a delay anyway with the exchange of contracts. So it’s nice to know that us getting the mortgage isn’t the issue!!!On the bluestone website it says 48 hours for applications to be underwritten. Hopefully tomorrow or Tuesday we will have an update as well. Keep us posted! 🤞🏼1 -

My Nan gave me the money for my deposit as my early inheritance. She’s signed the gifted deposit form and provided ID and now they are wanting to see her bank statements. I don’t feel at all comfortable asking her for this. Has anyone else been asked to provide this as it seems such an odd request and overstepping the line now.I have provided literally everything under the sun and can’t believe I’ve even been asked for this today.0

Hi,
I had to provide my dads bank statements and ID even though he was only putting £2000 towards it. That’s all they asked for though and it was fine, they just wanted to see he had the money available.1 -

Yes he had but he had to show a trail of where the money came from before he transferred it to me.

its part of normal money laudering procedures. The lender asks and then your solicitor will also ask. I work in legal in Scotland - Finance and Compliance management. Your MA should have asked at the beginning1 -

Hi All,
Just to share our not so good news -
Valuation paid for 1st March.
3rd - told should have a date for valuation the next day.
4th told lender has IT issues and couldn't do it.
7th - still no further forward still issues with IT at bluestone. IT issues not allowing lender to instruct valuation with Connelly's surveyors.
Nightmare!0
