Thats what we had on Friday, proof of deposit before they would ask for valuation and then an offer. We assume this is good news! Gave proof of deposit yesterday. Waiting to hear! Fingers crossed! another weekend wondering if its good or bad news!

I chased up with my broker/packager today asking for a timeline that they promised 2 weeks ago, 6hours later still no timeline given, but an ‘oh I’ve had a look and that declaration form you electronically signed last week, it’s no good, we need a wet signature’

You’ve taken 5 days to tell me this because?!…

Mad rush around to find someone with a printer so I can print it off, sign it, take a photo, then send it back tonight, so they’ve got it before the weekend delay.

They’re only checking up on stuff when I tell them to, it’s infuriating.

That is awful and I feel for you!

Bluestones website states all forms must be signed in wet ink so I’m not sure why your broker accepted it in the first place? But at least now you’ve provided it.

I tried to do my research and sent everything to my broker (payslips, bank statements, proof of deposit, DD mandate) in advance, I even sent the stuff they never asked for like current credit commitments form of BS website etc.

my broker was amazing (no packager used) and took just under 2 weeks from submission to full offer.

im just waiting to complete now and for the developer to serve notice. But fingers crossed for you.
  • @DKDUFFY23 ours is new build too, don’t know why they give a 28 day exchange .. never happens .. but the vendor is now in our case, so time is of the essence .. hopefully we’ll all be celebrating next week and finally able to sleep 😂
  • @alexjared93 super quick, exciting times ahead x

    We are I a similar situation…
23rd Feb we submitted application to the packager (Brightstar)
28th Feb extra documents requested and sent
2nd March more documents requested and sent
3rd March Brightstar submitted to Bluestone, our MA says this means it is now with the underwriter and hopes to have an update early next week
Does anybody know what the next step is?
We are really hoping they don’t come back asking for more documents, as have sent everything under the sun!
It seems to be moving quick but we are due to exchange contracts on 25th March so feel so anxious I can barely sleep!!
  • @newbuuild22 ~ I know easier said than done but try not to worry about the exchange time .. we were supposed to exchange on feb 7th .. new builds never exchange in the 28 days they give .. searches take a while also … they’ll probably come back asking for more documents or questions about bank transactions.. just when you think there’s nothing more they can possibly ask they find something.. but I have faith at the end of the day they want to lend us the money as that’s how they make there living .. it’s just dotting the i’s crossing the t’s .. we will all get our homes I have faith xx

@Hooefullyhopeful how has your developer / estate agent been about the wait ? We have been delayed as originally applied on 1st Feb with Precise mortgages but our MA overlooked something on my partner’s credit report that meant we couldn’t proceed with them. Essentially 3 weeks wasted so already feel like we’re on borrowed time with the developers… But yes we will get there. Got to keep positive x
  • @newbuuild22 thankfully ok .. the developer know we’re going through bluestone and take longer than highstreet .. the site agent said the developer asked last week what the hold up was and he just replied to them that it’s because we’re self employed it’s taking longer.. they were happy with that .. the searches haven’t come back yet either .. the agent said they don’t seem to bother until it’s at roof height , then they’ll be on the case to proceed .. but hopefully we should here next week 🙏🤞
