Completion was quick to be honest - they were quite specific of what they wanted document wise - we had debts to pay off so redemption statements etc, but other than that, they were pretty good! They do a completion call at the end - but this is literally a 5 minute phone call of them confirming the mortgage and payments and checking that all is OK and correct.0 -
Ok great, we haven’t taken any credit but I upgraded my phone without thinking. We’ve already provided everything they asked for around the conditions so hopefully it will be quick 😊🤞0

Hi everyone, please can someone help if they’ve been in a similar situation - so we’ve applied for a mortgage with Bluestone and I’ve been on long term sick leave (6 months) due to certain things happening last year but I am back at work now. Will this negatively affect our application? Thank you.0

Also, does Bluestone ask for a reference from EVERYONE’S employer?2

· Do you foresee the current Covid-19 situation having a material effect on the applicants likelihood to receive their full salary going forward?

Choco_cookie said:For anyone that is starting their application, make sure your MA knows what they are doing or get one recommended one form successful applications on this forum. Mine is making me feel like I am bothering him, never gives any sort of updates does not chase my case unless I call him five times in the morning.I submitted my application in November and I’m still waiting, valuation has been instructed on the 31st of January but has not been booked yet 🤷🏽♀️, whenever I call for updates he tells me “I don’t know I am busy right now I will let you know” then a week goes by. I just found out he just leave important information behind.Make sure you get a good MA or if anyone can recommend good ones, that know what they are doing so new applicants don’t go through what I’m going through.
Pretty much all brokers will have access to Bluestone but all of the specialist lenders work very differently to high street lenders.
Bluestone have changed elements of their process 2-3 times in the last 12 months. Someone who used them once 12 months ago will probably not know their quirks. They are a great lender and will happily ignore a lot, but there are some things they are quite sharp on.
