Why wouldn’t you need a valuation? I’m hoping we don’t as the sale price is £156,000 lower that than the mortgage but I think it’s wishful thinking

I already had a home report that was dated within the last 3 months

ahhh ok lol lucky!
I have just spoken to my MA and bluestone are apparently working slightly behind, so hopefully we should have an update tonight, but I wont hold my breath

Hiya! Has anyone had to provide evidence in reference to what certain transactions on bank statements are or did you just give an explanation as to what they are? There seems to be so many they are querying! Simple answers but don't necessarily have the evidence to prove.

We had explain several transactions, my husband sold some tools to a friend and they sent the money by bank transfer and they wanted to know why, they also queried more with my husbands than mine, but some of them i didn't personally feel warranted an explanation, like £60 payment for a scalextrix set we bought from somone on Facebook, Scalextrix was the reference on it too!!

They also wanted to know why we transferred money to our children's bank account!

Oh! Some of that feels ever so slightly extreme! Especially the transfers to your childrens bank accounts. I dread to think what other questions are going to come up (already had 2 emails requesting info) and to think our case hasn't even been submitted to Bluestone yet!

My valuation took place today and the guy said as far as he’s concerned he’s happy and will have the report back to them by the end of the day, 

how long has it taken from this point for people to get their mortgage offer verbal or in writing?

Just looked all around the bungalow and popped his head in the loft

Just got a phonecall to say my mortgage has been offered! Thank goodness, I can now be peeled off the ceiling! 

My MA has said no phonecall / no valuation etc! I am very chuffed! Hopefully can complete on time now!
