  • Wanted to thank everyone on this thread for there support and own experience's. It was really helpful to read (i think i read almost all of the 450+ pages) Just some advice for people going to apply. Sit down and get all the paper work ready! seems to be a common theme for bluestones asking for more info which then adds days (even weeks) to the process which you can avoid!

I sent the below at the start which my broker was really happy with and apart from BS asking for clarity on employment address I was not asked for any further docs!

6 months bank statements x2 (me and partner)
    6 months payslips x2
    P60 x2
    Gifters deposit declaration
    Gifters bank statement confirming funds
Confirmation of sale (evidence gifters deposit)
    Bank statements confirming our savings
    ID / Gifters ID
    Tenancy reference
Itemised bank statement showing rent payments for previous 36 months
    Adverse credit explanation x2
    Authority to proceed
    Bluestone Credit commitments form

My application took just over 1 week & 5 days for full offer and I cannot thank our broker enough, they have been amazing!!!

Happy to help if anyone has any questions etc but hopefully this will go someway to helping someone else

thats pretty much everything we've submitted too, so I'm hoping we don't have to wait too long. How long was it before you had the valuation?
I'm so nervous and feel sick with the not knowing :(

Oh I know how you feel!! I've been reading the thread over the last few months and I submitted all of the documents last Thursday to Simply. I spoke to them today and they advised it is with their pre-underwriters and they'll get back to me by tomorrow hopefully. Then it's onto full submission to Bluestone. The worrying is awful and isn't doing my anxiety any good! I've got a fab broker, she is just amazing and so understanding when it comes to my constant questions, phone calls and emails. Only at the beginning stages but I'm pulling my hair out!  :(

    Hi fudgecake!

Ah thank you! Really hoping it's a quick and easy process! Wishfull thinking maybe haha. We are purchasing the home we currently live in so fingers crossed.

I'm wondering if anyone has had to provide proof of balances on outstanding debts? I have one that isn't on my credit file anymore but I'm still paying off which shows on my bank statements. Trying to prepare myself for all the questions haha!

We’re buying the house we currently live in too! I haven’t been asked yet to prove outstanding balances, so I’m hoping they won’t need it! I’m so nervous! Ours is with bluestone now, having gone through Haysto’s signing off team and QA!

Ahh bless you! So your probably about a week ahead of us!! So stressful isn't it! I'm hoping they don't either haha! I'm sure I'll find out if Simply are going to ask for it in the next 24 hours. The nerves and anxiety are just awful aren't they! Constantly checking emails and all that jazz!! Don't think I'll ever move again!!

Me neither! We can easily show that we can afford it, as none of our costs will change, as we’re already living in the house, other than the mortgage payment increasing by £100 a month but we have over £1000 a month disposable income, so affordability isn’t an issue. I’m just hoping they Can understand that.

Yeah we have searches on the 7th December, our application went In 1st December and still waiting to hear,

We’ve been told our next step is valuation but just waiting for that to be confirmed it’s been instructed

Oh right! Hopefully you hear back from them before the weekend!! If you don’t mind me asking, are you checking on Experian or another credit agency ? If so does it tell you what type of search was it?
