Should be within next few days according to broker
  • Ours was today - was told 24-48 hours for report so not not expecting to hear anything until next week.
  • We had our valuation on Friday and then the value confirmed on the following Monday now they are querying our source of deposit. Is there any advice I. Why they go to valuation when they haven’t given you the thumbs up for the deposit ?

I had this after valuation. They just wanted to check there was a audit trail for my deposit.
Once I sent all the proof of the source of the income and then I get the offer.

  • Ah I wonder if this is normal then? Ours came from a insurance payout - hoping that will be okay now, something else to worry about 😩

They keep you on your toes with what they’ll ask for because they’re known for asking for all sorts 🤦🏼‍♀️
  • They contacted my MA lastnight asking for my p60, confirmation of tax credits for my children, a extra months bank statement and a copy of the memorandum of sale of my current property for prof of deposit

We completed last week and we're finally in our new home!

I found it really stressful waiting to hear whether we'd got the mortgage but please keep faith that you'll get there in the end. Yes, it's stressful and a major inconvenience constantly going back and forth and resubmitting documents but it honestly is worth it once you're in your own home.

Cannot echo this more. We started our journey with Bluestone in May this year (contacting Simply in March) and our offer didn’t come through until 26th of July. It honestly felt like it would never happen.

On top of that we didn’t complete until 29th of October and had to get an extension for 3 days as our offer would have expired. So much stress but now we are sitting in our new home, decorating it and it is all ours. It was worth every bit of stress.

Keep with it. Don’t give up.
  • Thanks for your comments our house is due to complete in the next couple of weeks so I’m hoping to move in with in laws for a couple of weeks. How long did it take once the queries were finalised to get the offer ?
