I received my Morgage offer in July which was amazing! We are currently using the HTB scheme all seemed ok until we received a email from the developers solicitor stating that the road will not be adopted by the council. They said BS will not want to proceed! Anyone had anything like this happen to them
We bought a new build on an unadopted rd in 2018, had an abusive neighbour so put it on market at the start of 2020, had an absolute nightmare selling it partly due to the unadopted road, you and you neighbours are responsible for maintaining the roads and footpaths which is an absolute nightmare. Is the house in some sort of management company? If so I would advice to stay well clear
We ended up selling at a massive loss
BS probably refusing to protect their investment but this also protects you1 -

Start dates, pay rate, full or part time, probation period?, whether I have had long-term sickness, furlough or business effected by Covid? , etc
Simply say it's all just routine and very few have problems from the references0 -

Not 100% sure think it has gone back to BS but nobody is really telling me anything and I feel like a nuisance when I call to chase0

Just wanted to reassure people that BS can take long but you will get there.
My timeline is as follows if it helps anybody:
DIP- 16/07/21
Full application: 30/07/21
BS asked questions regarding my middle name not being on my passport!! 17/08/21
Offer issued: 08:09/21
Completed: 30/09/21
Bluestone also ask a lot of repeat questions and I was never asked for an employment reference but I assumed it was because I work for DWP. (They would never get a response!!)
good luck to everyone starting this Journey and once you get your keys it’s all worth it!! XxHow was ur completion - did you get many special conditions? Mine is a remortgage to pay off debt - but hopefully nothing gets held up at the completion stage! Oh the joys - each stage is such a worry - but agree, it is all worth it!In the end I had to exchange and complete on the same day!0 -
Hey!My MA got me a DIP with bluestone.
I got this in September and it was valid for 30days, within this time I didn’t find a property I wanted to put a offer in on, so last week we did another one but for a high mortgage amount… this was granted.
I got my new DIP on 15/10/21…
I have very bad credit, 1ccj which is due to drop off my credit file in January.. I’m also in a DMP.. about 10 defaults (that are now in my DMP)
ive just put a offer in on a house so hoping that will get accepted.. then I’ll be putting my full mortgage application in.
ive accepted a offer for the sale of my current house so I’m ready to go! I’ll have quite a large deposit from the sale of my current house so that has helped!
im really worried that once the full mortgage application goes in that something will go wrong and everything will collapse!
anyone else worry about this? I was really shock that I even got a DIP… things like this don’t usually happen to me haha.0 -
BS usually look at the larger picture rather than just credit files, I had a CCJ and a default in the last 12 months but still managed to get an offer as these were cleared and could explain why i had gotten into that situation and it was behind me.0

We’ve EXCHANGED! Finally!
Does anyone know what the phone call with Bluestone entails?0 -
Just had an updated - they require no further documents from us and have instructed valuation 😬😬 don’t know whether to be relieved or more nervous!0
