After chasing up yesterday found out BS hadn't requested them so I got Simply to give them a nudge, they then requested them yesterday afternoon to both my employers. Been told they didn't ask any specific question just for a ' reference!Kerrylou2 said:
Do you know if your employment references have been sent yet? Not sure whether to chase?Lastchanceforahome said:
We are in exactly the same position, good luckKerrylou2 said:So I’ve just had an update - apparently our case has been underwritten and one last thing they need is work references! This should be the final thing before valuation 🤞🏼🤞🏼0 -
It’s so frustrating that they are doing this at this point! Ah ok - I’ll find out tomorrow if anything’s been sent and if not will chase. Thank uLastchanceforahome said:

Hi all,
Just wanted to reassure people that BS can take long but you will get there.
My timeline is as follows if it helps anybody:
DIP- 16/07/21
Full application: 30/07/21
BS asked questions regarding my middle name not being on my passport!! 17/08/21
Offer issued: 08:09/21
Completed: 30/09/21
Bluestone also ask a lot of repeat questions and I was never asked for an employment reference but I assumed it was because I work for DWP. (They would never get a response!!)
good luck to everyone starting this Journey and once you get your keys it’s all worth it!! Xx0 -
This is so helpful - thank you! I just wanted (selfishly lol) my valuation done prior to school half term and offer prior to 1st November so I don’t need to send further documents for October to then get passed to underwriters again and waiting 🙄 but I have just got to go with it now - and grateful I’m this far!Positiveaffirmations21 said:Hi all,

Mine is a remortgage to pay off debt - but hopefully nothing gets held up at the completion stage! Oh the joys - each stage is such a worry - but agree, it is all worth it!0 -

Oh the joys - each stage is such a worry - but agree, it is all worth it!We’re currently in week 9 and they are working on the deposit even though I thought we were at the end. So frustrating and heartbreaking getting so close and builder/solicitor chasing you all the time.Fingers crossed for a positive result as it would be awful to get this close for it to fall

I thought everything was sorted!! I can not fault bluestone they take a while but they actually come through in the end
I received my Morgage offer in July which was amazing! We are currently using the HTB scheme all seemed ok until we received a email from the developers solicitor stating that the road will not be adopted by the council. They said BS will not want to proceed! Anyone had anything like this happen to them

The new build I am buying is the same, road not being adopted, nothing has come up though with regards to bluestone not accepting the mortgage.Steph263101 said:I thought everything was sorted!! I can not fault bluestone they take a while but they actually come through in the end

We have a really similar timeframe! We got our offer in July and are using HTB as well. We're due to complete in two weeks though and our solicitor has requested the mortgage funds already. I'm assuming that our council are expected to adopt the roads as we've not been notified that there's an issue.Steph263101 said:I thought everything was sorted!! We did see it as a condition of our offer though and our solicitor 'sorted out the conditions' as soon as the offer came through. Do you have time to maybe find another lender or track someone down at the council who can confirm what the developer's solicitor is saying?0
