Surprised they want work references as were both employed full time with contracts etc, but not sure if that’s just the norm? Anyway it’s a good update so fingers crossed valuation next week! 🤞🏼🤞🏼0

BS asked another question too about who provides care for my child when we are work? So I just said she is at school in the day but Family and Friends help too if needed. Think they are just happy as long as you answer them.

I’ve been reading through this thread, I’m so nervous waiting for our application to be reviewed. We got a DIP the day we applied a few weeks ago. After getting together all the paper work and getting ATP from HTB our application was finally submitted on Wednesday. We had a call yesterday asking for some older statements from one of our accounts but it’s only been open about 6 weeks so don’t have anything else to give them.So many comments saying they are asking for more information, what sort of things are they asking for? I’ve already provided what feels like my full life history not sure what else I could give them. From what I’ve read once valuation has been instructed you’re pretty much home and dry is that the case?
I also haven’t seen any comments (although haven’t read all 400+ pages) of people being declined. Does anyone know the acceptance rate of they have granted a DIP.Thanks 😊0 -
Mortgage approved! we are over the moon!, ill post a timeline of events below as its went through really quick.
29/09/21- Mortgage application sent in.
06/10/21 Underwriter approval
07/10/21 Valuation paid and booked
12/10/21 Valuation carried out and report passed back to underwriter.
15/10/21 Mortgage Offer Issued
The only advice for people that are applying is paperwork, have a look on this thread and take notes down on what people are being asked to send as I have seen so many people have delays because they have missed out on a piece of paperwork that could have been sent at the beginning. We sent in the below and never had to provide any more than this and we had a very happy broker as he said we maybe provided too much but that was a good thing.
We sent in:
3 months Pay slips + 1 more as we went into the next month x 2
3 months bank accounts + 1 more as went into next month x 2
3 years P60 x 2
Employment contract due to being in 5/6 months probation
P45 from old employment
Gift certificate for deposit
3 months account details from the Gifter
Pension award letters (ex military)
Compensation scheme letters (ex military)
ID + proof of address
Details of people living in the property
24 months Rent payment proof statement from bank account or Landlord reference letter ( I chose the 24 months statement)
Latest credit report from check my file
Letter explaining about the adverse Credit and how we would clear it if it hadn't already.
Credit outstanding form.
Good luck everyone else waiting still and hope your mortgage offer comes in soon!
