Bluestone Mortgages

I haven't dealt with complete as we're direct through broker & BS but to answer your question in regards to being declined after DIP.. There was a person who was declined but then later got the mortgage with BS through another packager (which was actually quicker) so it goes to show that there are possibilities and from what I've heard from our broker and in this thread, once you've had your DIP and application submitted (although it's a long road) the majority of people do have an offer.Lottien95 said:Hi guys first time posting been watching this thread for a while! So we’re going with bluestone and complete fs is our packager, our first dip was declined as I had an account in status 6 but got that cleared and paid and then we had our dip passed on the 25/6/21, we then went to submit application but packager had first lot of questions on Monday, provided the documents etc by Thursday morning they were reviewed and more questions on the Thursday, submitted Friday 2/7/21 this is BEFORE we even submit our full mortgage application, I’m so worried we’re getting our hopes up for nothing, I was just wondering if anyone could help provide a glimmer of hope, or if anyone’s been declined and how far into application? And what questions were asked once submitted were HTB first time buyers our AIP from HTB we now have, so just bluestone end, our valuation is free also, just wondering if anyone could provide me with insight/ if anyone has also dealt with complete as a packager thank you in advance
It's such a stressful process but absolutely worth it in the long run. Keeping everything crossed for you 🤞Thankyou so much! I’ve provided SO much already before application and we’ve reserved our property weeks ago, it’s just took longer than expected it’s a new build and developer wanted us to complete by 8th July they know this won’t happen now and are so far fine with it! Fingers crossed I don’t get held in the dark much longer! Property isn’t ready until September so 🤞0 -
I haven’t seen the one where it was declined!! So maybe I skipped a page! I am trying to remain hopeful but there’s always that small doubt in your mind! And oh my gosh that is an amazing schedule!! When was that if you don’t mind me askingHopefulFTB1 said:
I haven't used Complete as the packager but I did have my DIP declined to start off for similar reasons, once I had cleared the issue they then approved it and I had a conditional offer on Friday as long as my valuation is all okay. That was only 7 days after my full mortgage application was sent to the underwriters. I have trawled all 400 + pages of this forum and have only come across the one person as mentioned above that has been declined but then ended up getting a mortgage a couple of months later. I think the beauty of Bluestones is that they look at most things before they even approve the DIP so unless anything they didn't know about pops up you should be ok! @Lottien95 throughout the whole thread, and a couple of old ones, there's about 5 people who've been declined, which isn't many considering the size of this thread.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1

Do you know what stages they were at in the process? I seen the recent one who said she was declined after 9 weeks and then reapplied but not any others.MovingForwards said:@Lottien95 throughout the whole thread, and a couple of old ones, there's about 5 people who've been declined, which isn't many considering the size of this thread.0 -

I can't remember and I'm not very well so don't have the energy to scroll looking sorry but it was fairly recent. She was declined after application then reapplied again using simply adverse and was accepted. It was maybe at most a week or two ago.Lottien95 said:

@Jen271626 honestly couldn't tell you as it was 19 months ago I read this thread from the start and did a lot of internet searches to read up as much as I could about them.
Worrying will only cause extra stress.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
I'm honestly past the point of worrying now, its out my hands now. Just want to know either way so I can move on with my life now.MovingForwards said:@Jen271626 honestly couldn't tell you as it was 19 months ago I read this thread from the start and did a lot of internet searches to read up as much as I could about them.

My application was passed to the underwriter on the 23rd July and I got a conditional offer last Friday. The condition is as long as the valuation comes back okay then all should be okay with the offer too. My broker literally sent in everything so I didn't get asked for any other documents luckily! I have noticed over the last 2 weeks that the turnaround time has come down to the 8/9 days if not less so fingers crossed you arent waiting too long ☺Lottien95 said:

No experience with that packager but I will say that I feel like our broker has achieved the unachievable getting us a mortgage… were FTB using HTB. It was 5 weeks to the day we received our offer. It’s stressful and plays on your mind constantly. But if you’ve been upfront with your broker when getting you AIP, it should be fine. It’s the unknown that I found the hardest, not knowing what was going on and whether anyone had looked at our case etc. yet.Lottien95 said:Hi guys first time posting been watching this thread for a while! Stay postive! ✨2
