Anyone bought a new build- not on any scheme and know they won’t complete with a month extension and had to re submit application0

Hi All, we've just had valuation on the property we are buying. The bloke was only there for 15 minutes and left. What would be your thoughts on this? Good, bad or indifferent? Not sure what kind of valuation it was but couldnt have been in depth. My In-Laws live next door to the house we're buying and told us when he got there and when he left.0

We live in the house we are buying (currently renting it) our valuation was done in around 15 mins, the report was sent to Bluestone the same day & we had our offer 2 days later. I think they get all they need in that timeteddy2014 said:Hi All, we've just had valuation on the property we are buying. The bloke was only there for 15 minutes and left. We had our valuation last week 22/6 and were asked for loads more info a week later on the 30/6 which we submitted the next day. Things like how far my partner lives from work etc🙄 Seems like we are nowhere near offer such a nightmare😞. We are 5 weeks into application and buying a new build on help to buy. Fingers crossed we get some good news soon. So stressful. I know there are people who have been waiting longer so feel bad for moaning. Each day of waiting seems like an eternity🤣0

It is anew build but they did a physical valuation, and i still have to wait 9 days to hear from them, at least according to my MA this afternoon. Hopefully next week we get our offer.Jen271626 said:
I think it depends if its a new build or not. If its a new build they are done quite quickly in the process because its an online rather than physical valuation, so its hard to say. I think *most* people who get a valuation on a non new build tend to get the offer between a couple of days to a couple of weeks at most.barodz said:Bluestone received all our documents by the 9th of June and did our valuation on the 24th, does anyone how much longer we must wait to here from them for an offer, or an update of any sort. I have forwarded updated documents to our MA today should they need them, which should hopefully speed up the process, but we have been in this process since the 1st of May and I'm a bit tired now.1 -

I double checked what kind of distance I could get away with moving to and did my search within that, 90 minutes each way was about the limit my broker said. The property I purchased was 20 miles from work or 2h by 2 buses and walking or 1 hour by bus, train and walking or 30 mins by car in (haven't done a proper rush hour run back from the office to know what time it will take but busy traffic was 1h).Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
I feel so relieved, hopefully everything with the valuation comes back okay!HS1234 said:
