What date did you get passed over to the underwriters.
Not until the 23rd June so has been relatively quick for meTheir website says working on 22nd today so that’s a good sign if urs was 23rd.Valuation shouldn’t take too long hopefully. I requested ours on Monday paid on Wednesday and it’s booked in for Monday.1 -

I went with direct line, it's upto £50k for contents and upto £1m for buildings with their lowest cover, then you can add optional extras like escape of water, accidental damage etc (I only took the legal cover). They happily note bluestone as an interested party and send an abridged version of the policy with key points noted so it can be forwarded to your solicitor / broker who send it to bluestone.
I've recently renewed and not had to worry about working out rebuild costs or whether my personal possessions are over a certain amount.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

My purchase was a Scottish flat and I wanted to double check the building insurance did cover my portion of it should anything happen (most are freehold flats up here).
With comparison sites there's the option of noting their interest, but I needed that near instant proof as my solicitor was pushing everything through within 2 weeks of getting the offer extension.
There's 14 day change of mind so if the purchase doesn't go through the policy can be cancelled (subject to their cancellation terms), the policy documents are posted out to your new place (odd I know, but that's what happens).Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
I hope everyone gets positive news this week 💫!2

For those of you with offers was it a condition that you put Bluestone on your home insurance as an interested party?0
