We've had an update this morning! Apparently everything is done now (valuation is all back fine) just waiting for the final underwrite... Our broker has managed to get us escalated so we are in an emergency processing queue for the final underwrite now apparently... They are saying we should have answer in the next 24 hours.... Just before the weekend would do me... I don't think I can cope with another weekend of not knowing  :D

Fingers crossed everyone gets some good news before the end of this week!
When we were at this stage we got our offer the next day. Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻
Oh god I hope so. This has been the longest most stressful thing we've ever done...  :D
I feel you! It was horrific! I just want to complete now and get it all done!
Our sellers are hoping to complete ASAP once our offer is through... So if we get the offer through tomorrow or Friday we will be aiming to exchange next Thursday/Friday to complete the week after! I cannot bloody wait  :D
  • Hello all, I have tried to read through the majority of these posts but cant find anyone mention that they had their DIP manually underwritten? I am only 2 weeks into the process so looks like I've got a long wait ahead of me

Does anyone know if having my DIP manually underwritten gives me a better chance of an offer? This is kind of my last resort so fingers crossed it all goes well!

I think Bluestone manually underwrite all DIPs, I know ours was so as long as all info is accurate & there is no changes from DIP to application you should be OK

Ahh I wasn't sure if they did or not as some people have mentioned they got their decision back straight away. I struggled because I started a new job in February and they said they needed 6 months in my new job but then I got manually underwritten and  3 days later they approved my DIP.

14 days??? That's insane. I've been watching your posts on here for ages now! Our broker was pestering them so much that they told him politely that he needed not to keep contacting the underwriters but it's made a difference as we are nearly there now. Have they literally not given you any actual information apart from an update in 14 days?

14 working days? Yeah I was told it won't be till the 29th mine is reviewed, mb reckoned that would be final underwrite but I don't think it will as you applied before me by a fair chunk of time. I don't understand why me and you - who are with brightstar, are being given such long timescales compared to everyone else for information. I think its them rather than the lender.

I have had nothing since my packager submitted the application except I personally asked if we can submit our home report and was told yes and on the 14th June my solicitor wanted to know what was going on so contacted the broker who spoke to the lender/packager and said next review is 29th June 🤦‍♀️

Oh my god. That's ridiculous. We had Bluestone come back to us twice for additional documents but our broker submitted them instantly and then called our case manager at Bluestone to get the documents accepted. They were literally accepting them within 24 hours of us sending them in. It definitely sounds like Brightstar are delaying the whole process. We've never had to wait longer than 5 working days without an update.
