Assuming everything went through ok . How long did it take for your offer to come throughjen14df said:
We are with Simply, totally agree they are amazing. They don’t give up either. I first contacted them in Feb and thought because my credit is so bad I won’t hear from them again but they kept in touch each month with updates about different lenders.sarahjanelodge said:can i ask what brokers if any you are using. We were let down by a few before as we are both self employed and had a ccj from 3yrs ago and a few defaults in 2019 and went to simply to help us. So far they have been amazing. 🙏
I am just nervous about the solicitor now. I already live at the property that I am buying, it’s my late mums house so don’t want any more hiccups but surely I’ve crossed them because Bluestone go through everything with a fine tooth comb.
Valuation done on 25/08 heard back the following day to say valuation was fine but they wanted another document. Sent that over, then it was the bank holiday weekend - offer made on the Tuesday 1/9. Simply then emailed out my offer two days later and I also received one through the post.

And it's confirmed! Offer received!
Application went in on 14th August
Valuation 3rd September
Offer 11th September
Top tip... get every single bit of information possible sent over and as each month passes send updated statements and payslips. This avoids the continual request for additional paperwork.
So happy and really pleased with the turn around time. Our mortgage advisor was awesome after we changed.... another top tip... if you don't have good vibes with your MA change them before you get too far in.
Thanks everyone for your advice and guidance on here

With regards to the valuation has anybody had any issues where the valuation has been less than what you thought the house was worth, I’m doing a remortgage and when asked how much property is worth I went of two houses in my street that were up for sale but they have since been reduced and now worried I won’t get the amount I wanted to remortgage for.0

We are a remortgage, I’m sure you will be fine. Houses can be priced over the value to leave room for negotiation when selling, Our MA put our value on as he’s linked to an estate agents. We’ve not had valuation yet, unless it’s been done without my knowledge? So we've been advised that we are due an update on our application on Monday.
Again, believe it if it comes together but will keep you all posted. 😊1 -
