I have to say it is gutting to see timelines and some are so quick and others not so much. Im so happy for everyone getting their offers though believe me! I'm just losing hope tbh, we have had the date of entry moved so many times because of this hold up. I dont even know how we are still in the game with how long its taken and our sellers haven't pulled out!

    Application was on 26/2
    Underwriting  was on 16/4
    More documents req 23/4
    Update to be on 10/5

I just don't even know how much longer I can take this, im due a baby any day now and the date of moving out from our place is 28th May and moving unto our house is 28th May. I just don't see it happening by then either! Our case was pretty straightforward too, 1 default from 2 years ago on my side only. I dont understand how it can take so long to review things. Feeling so deflated!
I think it all depends on the relationship your MA has with bluestone which broker did you use? By reading some off the comments on here some brokers have better relationship with bluestone then others and seem to get done quicker
This is the first time hes used them, and he isn't impressed with them either. It does look like some have better time frames depending on who their broker is etc. He works for a company called embrace financial services and came recommended.
No hard search that I can see, although it says they did an audit on 21st April and that is showing. Is that a soft search?
First time my broker used them to and although slower than most they had a good relationship and got off on the right foot. I would look to Mayb move brokers to if you have had no movement by next week for defo.

If there's no hard search then your not at underwriters yet and possibly still 4 weeks away from a offer
We were told from bluestone it was at underwriting weeks ago, had been through affordability and they came back and offered us rates as well as req information. There was a credit app in march by them too, would that most likely be the hard search?

My broker was paid £400 and I dont really wanna have to pay again for someone and start the whole process again! He thought they were close to getin to the final stages. I just don't believe it!

Are app goes in tomorrow but when we had rates bluestone that was at the AIP stage then as by broker is a packager as well we have been going back and forth for a week getting the application ready that saves time when it's in the underwriters and hopefully they won't ask for anything else I think this is the key also my broker is no fee until offer

We had rates at AIP stage (which was on 13th feb) but they did affordability and advised what they could offer us and what rate it would be on and asked us if we would be happy to proceed (this was underwriting and on the day they asked for more info)

How long should case be at underwriting? That’s two weeks our buyer’s case has been at underwriting and we are told still no updates 😭😭 it is so so slow and we are running out of time 😭
  • first time posting- I’m also one of the many people on here who seem to be pulling hair out at the long waits. My application was March and the packager has come back a few times and asked for more stuff eg statements and just when I thought they couldn’t ask for anything else they now want the bank statements (Another month they’ve had 3 months) from the person gifting me a small portion of the deposit. It’s annoying but I am wondering if it’s a good sign that things are going ahead. Seems silly asking for them if I haven’t passed affordability ! Maybe I’m just wishful thinking. Had dip and soft search but nothing else it’s so frustrating isn’t it 🙃

We were meant to be at underwriting stage over a week ago but nothing further and still not there. Yes had extra docs awhile ago and took it like you that if they were asking for further docs then has to still be positive. All we can do is keep hanging in there. Good luck with it, keep us posted.

Bon18, it seems like everyone is different, some 11-14 working days, others longer and there is no real sense as to why as it doesn’t seem to meant something is wrong. We have also had bank holidays which delay this even further. We are in the same position so can say your buyers are probably trying to get through ASAP also.

  • How often is too often to email your MA? I’m worried I’m going to annoy him 🤣
