Yea we had the same. It’s the forms they signed via the solicitor in the beginning just to say they understand it’s a gift etc. Nothing to worry about
Thanks for this! I’m going to follow up tomorrow just in case. I’ll be glad when this is all over
Me to 😳. Yes just ask the question but know my mother in law had to sign a statement saying she knew it was a gift blah blah blah. If not won’t take long to do. It’s down to the solicitors really not you just don’t want it holding anything up for you now

This is really gutting seeing everyone’s timeframe.
    Ours: DIP 22/3
    Full Application 30/3
No hard search or anything since, no further request for docs or info. Still at initial stage, not with underwriters as yet.
Seller now put house back on the market as will not wait any longer
It’s really hard, our application went in 09/04 and I know that’s after you but I’ve seen people around the same time have searches, valuations etc and it’s tough. But every case is different I know ours is complex so I’m trying to stay calm. I’m a bit of a data geek so taking the timelines I’ve found on this forum I’ve worked out the average number of working days until valuation is instructed is 23, and 29 working days from application being submitted to offer. This has helped me as with the bank holidays etc I can see we are still well within this time frame
Thanks for that, good that yours seem to be on track. Yes it is hard to see, think we are around a week or two behind. It is hoped to be with underwriters by the end of this week, but then again told that last week. Keep me posted how you get on. Fingers crossed for us both, hoping no one else makes an offer on the house we would like as it is back on the market.
  • Once it has left the pre-underwriters at Simply Adverse, how long is it with the underwriters? I assume once with the underwriters that’s when all the valuation etc is done?

Anyone know what is left for the underwriters to do after the pre-underwriters have prepackaged it all?

I think it’s a safer bet. Even if you get the offer tomorrow you have given yourself a week to cover your back

I have to say it is gutting to see timelines and some are so quick and others not so much. Im so happy for everyone getting their offers though believe me! I'm just losing hope tbh, we have had the date of entry moved so many times because of this hold up. I dont even know how we are still in the game with how long its taken and our sellers haven't pulled out!

    Application was on 26/2
    Underwriting  was on 16/4
    More documents req 23/4
    Update to be on 10/5

I just don't even know how much longer I can take this, im due a baby any day now and the date of moving out from our place is 28th May and moving unto our house is 28th May. I just don't see it happening by then either! Our case was pretty straightforward too, 1 default from 2 years ago on my side only. I dont understand how it can take so long to review things. Feeling so deflated!

We have tried before and he says he's been blunt with them and even asked to speak to the case manager etc to put in a dissatisfaction (this was at the beginning of April) but it hasn't made a blind bit of difference to how long things have taken unfortunately. They are in absolutely no hurry with us and they knew about previous deadlines.
