I received an update from MA today after being told we would get final update this week...now they are asking if a sum in the acct is a gift...I believe they should have asked this from the go as it's just a money from my car sold and then I bought another one at a much higher price....grrrrrrr!!!
Will I be requiring to contact the person I sold the car to to declare anything? Do they accept personal car sales as explanation or not enough a proof of funds under10k?
Also a self employed declaration form was requested to be filled. Is there anyone applying with SE? once the SE form filled and submitted were you delayed any further or asked any further docs pls?
Just not expecting to still be at this stage after being quiet for almost 3 weeks.
Glad it's almost over for good tho.

What were you timescales still not heard nothing at the moment1 -
@Fountains_27 we are self employed... not had to sign anything yet but just sent over our latest tax return (20/21) and they said that’s all they should need. We are 3 weeks in and not heard anything for nearly 2 weeks now my MA should be chasing up this week as we have only had 2 soft searches done (just b4 the DIP) and nothing since.1

Our searches are complete so hopefully we get those keys before summer ey!
For everyone asking timelines, please remember that everyone’s cases are so different but my DIP was 11th Jan so it’s been a long road and isn’t over yet! I’ll let you know when we complete.
Good luck everyone2 -

May I ask if you submitted 2 years tax return and why they asked for 20/21? Did you submit for 2 yrs or 1yr tax return previously? just wish they ask for everything upfront, asking in trickles only delays things.
My MA says if they dont ask why submit but then you dont want delays as I read someone said she send payslip and bank statement every month to MA even when they are not asked.

Just wanted comment on this thread that quite honestly kept me sane!We completed last Tuesday after a very long nearly 5 months.
all I can say is the stress is worth it, I had many sleepless nights but trust your broker..
I have bad credit, payday loan less than a year old and a missed payment in 11 months. My partner has an excellent credit score but still on the deeds with his ex.
we got our offer and now in our new home together.
it’s easier said than done but you will get there and there is no better feeling!6
