    Hi all,
We paid our valuation fee to BS yesterday. Does anyone know what the current timescale for the next stage is?
I paid for my valuation last Wednesday, my house was valued on Thursday, i had my verbal offer on Friday and written offer on Monday. Keep the faith you will get there. I was with Simply!

    Hi guys
I have been reading all of the posts as we are in the application stage.  We got the dip and submitted bank statements, payslips, out incoming and outgoings, my husbands 3 years books as he is self employed.  It went for the documentation checks and they asked for a letter from previous landlord and then they come back and said they don’t need it because we are living in the property at the moment and paying rent to family.  We moved in August.  Before we moved in we were hadn’t paid rent from March to July as we were claiming universal credit and were waiting for that to be approved and that would pay the rent .  We were council tenants.

I was relieved when they said they didn’t need it but now I am freaking out in case the underwriter asks for it.
How many people have been asked for landlord letter? Did any submit one with rent arrears? It has now been sent to underwriters.  How likely is it that the underwriter will ask for the letter? Really worried we will be declined if we have to get one.
What stage do you think we are at?
    Hi

I currently live in a council property and we were asked for a tenancy reference. They will ask for a tenancy reference if you have rented private or social over the past two years. I would try and get the document done ahead of time because it will only delay. Fortunately for me I had no arrears/missed payments but in the lending policy they do allow for missed rent payments.
The person who checks all the documents said we don’t need it so it has gone to underwriters to check everything.  Do you think the underwriters will ask for it?
So our broker didn't ask for it but when it was submitted the underwriter did come back and request it, so it might be worth you getting ahead of that (I think you can find the form if you google it) so it's nothing lost if you do get it and then don't need it
  • Has anyone been told they need to apply for the new help to buy scheme although you had an aip with the old scheme? It's causing so much stress

@Lolly632 the wait is killing me, our case manager from our mortgage brokers advised us today that we are due to be “final underwritten” this week and she wants to escalate our application but isn’t sure if this is possible due to a back log. Here goes week 5 with no answers!
    Who’s the broker

I’m feeling so stressed today our application isn’t even submitted yet they just keep requesting more and more from us every time there’s an obstacle it seems so negative like they will have to check with their manager.

anyone have experience with wage slips different to what’s paid in the bank? They are saying it raises alarm bells but it’s because I lease a car through work and they take the amount weekly from me, which I can get a letter to prove and asked would they like one but not getting any positive answers...

Its so stressful 4 full weeks of not hearing a thing ! This time last week the underwriting team hadn't even look at it and Brightstar said it was finally with 1st underwrite last Friday .
We're also living with parents as well and the house we want is completely empty which we pass every day that's more annoying haha. Good luck keep us updated.

It seems to different per MA/broker

    I’ve submitted
wage slips for me and wife x3
    p60
    bank statements
return from furlough letter from employer
and it’s gone straight to underwriter?
