It's paid in arrears, nobody is getting £5 until next month.mau408 said:Then if you select it on the 12th May, the example given, means that you will get the offer the following month provided you keep the 5K in from the date you sign up.
So why haven't we got the £5 at the beginning of June instead of the £2 reward?0 -

What browser? It works for me on Chrome, but not on MS Edge.Fingerbobs said:
The tracker in the App says I need to pay in £1500 to qualify for the £5 reward, and it says I'm not on track to receive this because I haven't met this requirement.General_Grant said:Fingerbobs said:My salary goes in on the last working day of every month, so for virtually the entire month I'm going to show as "not on target".
I take it that you are referring to your salary going in because that would fulfil the £1.5K deposit criterion to avoid payment of the £3 fee. That is just that, avoidance of the fee. It does not affect achievement of the "reward" so that aspect can be achieved early on in the month if you are using the DC spend for this.
I've never been able to see the tracker on the Web site - I just get an error message.
"I use chrome, but I can not see the tracker in online banking either just the app..."
That was you, wasn't it?

You effectively signed up from the 1st, as that was the earliest date you could sign up for it.It says that it comes into effect on the day you sign up for it.
You only expressed your decision earlier.0 -
The "some reason" being that you didn't understand it and wish to change your mind, which you can't.If you now don't want the reward for some reason, you simply don't bother with the eligibility criteria. You can also close or switch your account any time you like.
Making you close and re-open your account to change between the two is quite literally the stupidest thing ever. They should allow a change more frequently than every 12 months.0 -
But I had to ring them before the 15th May. Why couldn't I ring them all the way up to the 1st June? Why doesn't the example apply because they make you do it before the 15th.

Why put the misleading example on the letter then? It is not a good example. Everyone who got the letter already has an account and their account is changing and so if you sign up before the 15th May ....... they will always have the account starting on 1st June and the bonus paid in July if they follow the rules.
The example given is that if you sign up on the 10th November then the the first bonus will be paid at the beginning of December. Assuming I request the change on the 10th May then bonus in the example assumes I will be paid on the beginning of June.0 -
Comes in to effect on the day of sign up. The tracking on the app also says 'if you met the conditions you should receive your offer around the 12th of the following month'.phillw said:

I met the conditions in May, so I will be receiving the offer around the 12th of June. The fact that I didn't receive the £2 on the 2nd working day of this month (June) confirms the new reward is due around 12th.
p.s. Although the £2 offer used to be paid on the second working day of each month, I was paid the £2 in May on Friday 01 May 2020. Clearly not the second working day of that month. It was the first working day. Seems Halifax has changed it from 2nd to 1st working day from February 2020.
Anyway, 1st working day or 2nd working day, its now the 4th working day and it still hasn't been paid, so the new offer payment is due around 12th.0 -
The fact you didn't receive the £2 is a Halifax error which they're investigating.OceanSound said:

Lots of us haven't.
On the £5 - I'll bet you £5 you don't receive that (this month) either.1
