Halifax Reward Account changing to £3 charge with “lifestyle rewards”

The tracker in the App says I need to pay in £1500 to qualify for the £5 reward, and it says I'm not on track to receive this because I haven't met this requirement.General_Grant said:Fingerbobs said:My salary goes in on the last working day of every month, so for virtually the entire month I'm going to show as "not on target".
I take it that you are referring to your salary going in because that would fulfil the £1.5K deposit criterion to avoid payment of the £3 fee. That is just that, avoidance of the fee. It does not affect achievement of the "reward" so that aspect can be achieved early on in the month if you are using the DC spend for this.
I've never been able to see the tracker on the Web site - I just get an error message.1 -

I don't have the app. However I now see from the Halifax website that the pay-in is also a criterion for the reward. I don't think that was clear originally (April), only that you either paid in at least £1.5K or the £3 maintenance fee.
ETA clarity to when (April) I believe it was not clear that £1.5K was criterion for reward.

For all those concerned about the £3 fee, I have posted this earlier and no-one seems to have understood. This was received in an email from Halifax 05-05-2020:-"We’re also introducing a £3 monthly maintaining the account fee, but this won’t apply if you pay at least £1,500 into your account each month. To help you get used to your new account, we won’t charge the £3 monthly maintaining the account fee between June and August. But you’ll still need to pay in £1,500 each month to qualify for your reward."
Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition1 -
It seems to be a common misunderstanding that the £1,500 is not needed to get the reward. It is needed to be eligible. It also waives the monthly fee, as you say.General_Grant said:

Depending on your choice of reward, you also must have a daily balance of greater than zero, or greater than £5,000. Drop below that minimum balance on just one day and your reward for the month is gone.

Is the app playing up for anyone else?

It doesn't have to go out of Halifax - into another Halifax ac and (even immediately) back qualifies - tested and tracked already.
Can you transfer money out of Halifax to another account and then transfer it back in at the beginning of the month? That way you wouldn't have to worry about any BACS or other delays for your salary.Fingerbobs said:My salary goes in on the last working day of every month, so for virtually the entire month I'm going to show as "not on target".

If you read the letter Halifax sent, the first page clearly says the changes come into effect on the 1 June.mau408 said:
I hope so, but when I look at my tracker it states I will get my bonus about the 12th of the month, when I signed up. The example is then defunct for existing customers. Very misleading.gt94sss2 said:
The new rewards scheme started on the 1 June. If you signed up before then, the scheme year runs from 1 June to 31 May.mau408 said:However, you sign up on the 1st June 2020, and it all goes hunky dory and after 12 months you get 12 lots of £5. It is penalising existing customers who have to sign up before the 15th May.
The first £5 payments will be made by mid July for the month of June.
Existing customers do not lose out by signing up by mid-May.. we were effectively pre-registering for its start on 1 June
Also, in the app, if you use the the track your rewards option, expand the "show my offer progress" box, at the bottom it will say your offer will end on 31 May 21
Edit: it has the same information on the website1 -
Thanks for your replies and I understand what you are saying. Yes it clearly says comes effect on 1st June, I concur, but the example at the back doesn't. It says that it comes into effect on the day you sign up for it. Thanks I haven't got the app it just says I will get paid the bonus on the 12th. It just so happens I rang on the 12th May but now realise this is a coincidence. So I expect a final payment on the 12th June 2021. (Better not close the accounts before then.) Why do they think it is just that they can they delay the reward payment by 12 days? What is the reason for this?gt94sss2 said:

Still feeling misled especially after reading 'small print', re example given and signing up before I can see full terms and conditions on the 1st June.
