Hi everyone 👋
@TryingAgain2022 - hope you're feeling better. Definitely don't beat yourself up - doesn't do anyone any good
@DawnW - hope you feel better soon too. I'm quite jealous you got your washing dry outside!! Lucky you!
Early night planned here but thought I'd pop in before I go to bed and read my book...
🌈Free kindle book📚
🌈Sold something - £6.50 to me 😎
🌈Home made houmous 👩🍳
🌈Overnight oats for baby girl 🥣
🌈Leftovers for lunch
🌈I've just had cereal for tea because it's been one of those days 🥴
Night all!7 -
Sorry you've not been well. But that's brilliant about the credit cards! Well done!TryingAgain2022 said:Hi all. Been ill with ?flu? who knows for a few days so am late. Not added anything to credit cards. Probably the first time in years I’ve put nothing at all on not even a coffee (coffee is my biggest downfall!). So that’s a victory even if I am now at zero. It feels weirdly liberating to know I CAN'T add to my cc debt because I've reduced all the limits down to their current point. So long as nothing goes wrong...

Morning folks!
Sorry for being mia yesterday. It was one of those days in work, just really busy!
I then had a friend round yesterday evening. I wasn't really expecting her to come round because her physical and mental health is not always great so it was a lovely bonus that she made it! We had a really good giggle and watched The Princess Bride and I feel like it did me a lot of good to have some girly company
I'm excited today as I'm getting my hair done. Weirdly, after I moved over to getting it done every 6 months and letting it grow and fade, I get the most compliments just before it's done! People love the grungy roots and the way it fades differently all over. Makes you wonder why I'm bothering spending a solid 2 day's wages getting it done. It's def NOT mse, but luckily at the moment I can afford it and it makes me feel very very good. I don't wear make up, jewellery or many fancy clothes so I feel that my hair is my "decoration" as it were.
Other things today:
Take some sort of packed lunch/snacks to the hairdressers as I'll be there a good 6 hours!
Using reusable sanitary protection - done
Probably walk to hairdresser's to save on bus fare, depending on how I feel (it's an hour's walk!). Will def get bus back though as direct route has a long section with no street lighting. - done
End of month budget sheet - done
Put away the mountain of washing - done
Do mountain of washing up!! - mostly done
Apply voucher from work to Amazon account - done
Will add any extras later
Have a good one all

Hi everyone 👋
Quiet day here... 😊
@carrielovesfanta - I love your hair. Mine is such a mess at the moment. I really need to get it done soon...
My new driving licence arrived but I was a bit annoyed that you don't get any time credited to it IYKWIM. It wasn't due to run out until April but now my '10 year' licence will run out in Feb 2030 rather than April. I know this is really petty but it has annoyed me as I could easily have waited until later to update it. (The thing about being on mat leave is that I have no work stuff to think about so small things can easily p!ss me off 🤣)
Been to the post office to post some of the stuff OH and I sold this week. 👏
Slow cooker is on - sweet potato curry
The other night I made such a cheap lentil and bean curry. All of the stuff I always have in the house - tin of beans, red lentils, coconut milk, frozen veg, spices etc - but sometimes I look in the cupboards and think we have nothing in. We do!! Then OH had leftovers with a jacket potato. 👏
Main plan is to clean the kitchen today. Need to get all of the recycling out of the house - it's doing my nut in but the bins outside are full. I may just need to designate a corner in the conservatory as at the moment things are strewn about everywhere...🙄
@TryingAgain2022 - about the coffee - would you ever get yourself a posh coffee machine and a nice travel mug? Then that could still feel like a treat for you but you'd soon make your money back. We did it a few years ago and got a coffee machine for Christmas, then it ended up saving us about a tenner a week.
Need to sort YNAB but LO is about to wake up so I probably won't get time and I might not be bothered by the time she goes to bed...🤔
Early night planned here! Already looking forward to it 🤣

Afternoon all
CLF, I think 6 hours in the hairdresser's would be my idea of hell
That explains why my hair is just like a mop I suppose
Managed to get to my sales unit this morning, and was pleased to see that several things had sold, including a dinner service that I hated, so I was very pleased about that! Restocked a bit, but still need to take some smaller bits down another time though. Not much else done, as I didn't get much sleep. But I did do the bit of shopping I needed, listed a couple of things on FB, posted some RM surveys stuff, walked the dog and did a bit in the garden. Planted up a hanging basket with strawberries and smashed up some broken big pots. Very satisfying!Lunch was some unexciting soup from the freezer, glad to see the back of that, and won't make again (a veg soup with Thai spicing, doesn't work!). Dinner will be kedgeree to use up some slightly freezer burned smoked haddock, which I hope will be much nicer! I also want to make a batch of scones, so better get off my behind and get on with it!5 -
I need a PA I think... I'm falling behind on a million little jobs I need to do because there aren't enough hours in the day.
Now full of cold and I've been working like mad, juggling vet appointments and kids parents evenings. I feel very run down for first week back after half term. Just need someone to make me a big list of what I need to do so I can start checking things off it.
Not giving up
