Morning folks
@1LuckyLady - I hope your DS is ok
It's Pancake day! Yes it's Pancake day! It's P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-Pancake day!
Feeling a bit ropey this morning. Might be the start of one of my tummy "episodes". It tends to start with me feeling very tired and kind of "feeble".
Here's my list for today:
B/D from stores
L out with OH before he goes to Berlin - done. Nice bagel slightly soured by not-so-good pancakes!
Check PMP - done
Charge phone in work - done
Order compost for the allotment
Ring drs to get test results (I keep forgetting, and they wouldn't let me have them over the desk in Friday) - done. They are normal, which is good because I don't have something like Crohns! But bad because now I get written off as having IBS.
Heating off
Nip to B&M on the way home for sealant
Very early night
Have a good one all

Thanks @carrielovesfanta I'm sure he'll be ok, he's back to school and they're keeping an eye on him. I swear I only thought about having a "baby" cute and cuddly and all that... I really didn't give any thought to them being 11+!

Went to the gym, just walked on the treadmill as it was raining so hard. Back to classes tomorrow once my 24hrs no strenuous exercise ban is lifted after the extraction yesterday ✅
Popped into m&s to get dh's coffee, paid for using a discounted gift card via his works perks site ✅
Went to icyland, to refill the 2nd freezer, got lots of veggies, some fish and some mince - forgot to use the
2shop giftcard to pay for part of it though!
Have now moved it to a different part of my purse so that I remember next time! ✅
Check banking/update cashbook ✅
Check off Mr t credit card statement - didn't get round to this yesterday. ✅
Make families lunches for tomorrow ✅
Dinner tonight will be the leftover roast chicken, veg and mash ✅
That's it, hopefully this afternoon will be less stressful and I can get back to normal.
Take care all.

Afternoon all
Thanks for the start DNMSMy sore throat at the end of last week turned into a horrible virus that wiped me out - only just feeling a bit more human this afternoon. So nothing much done at all, as I have barely left my bed (or rather the spare one so as not to disturb OH). Hoping normal service will start to be resumed tomorrow!4 -

Hi all. Been ill with ?flu? who knows for a few days so am late.
This week:
Payday. It’s been another long month.
Immediately move the money I took out of savings pots (had to empty everything) back in
All washes are on 30 min cycles. Better for the planet too
Continue policy of not washing clothes til necessary.
Plan what start of month treat I can do for myself and DD next week. Eg visit to the local indie bookshop
Meal plan - have v frugal plan for this week involving sausages, spag bol, baked potatoes, fishfingers, veggie risotto…
This month has shown me that I do not have enough money to do a half term set of activities (just 4 days’ worth of pretty minimal day trips, not even eating out in the evening like we used to!!) with the amount I had set aside.
Certainly not in winter. It would be different in summer when you could walk on the beach/park etc for free. When it’s lashing down we need indoor things!
Still, small steps. Continue to put small bits into my various savings pots. Next big thing is car service (might just have to come out of March’s money) and Easter hols. Yikes.
Not added anything to credit cards. Probably the first time in years I’ve put nothing at all on not even a coffee (coffee is my biggest downfall!). So that’s a victory even if I am now at zero. It feels weirdly liberating to know I CAN'T add to my cc debt because I've reduced all the limits down to their current point. So long as nothing goes wrong...
Full disclosure - I have taken money out of the joint account this week, to cover food and the annoying last-week-of-month direct debits. Abut £120 in total. Obv I pay into that account as well but not a great deal as I do food and OH does mortgage etc. So I feel bad about that BUT it's not gone on total frivolity - or if I look at it the other way, it's helped pay for half term while my own money covered the bills. So I'm not going to beat myself up too much. I emptied everything I had before taking it.
That's it. Onwards.
