What small DFW things will you do week 25th Feb 2020

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important

Morning @determined_new_ms and all who follow.
Its wet grey and miserable here this morning (a bit like everyones mood as its back to work/school!)
Todays plans are dependent on how I feel after having this wisdom tooth out this morning so I'll be back later rather then posting a list now.
Take care all.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Morning guys
thought I'd start us off
Today I have 2 frogs to deal with after dropping madam to school - book dentist appt & call payroll as my pay does not reflect I went back to work...
After that in order of priority!
* take pup for walk
* drop car off to mechanic and get the bus back. Might stop at the sm for squash, fruit juice, fish ad hot chocolate. Nothing else!
* TOMM
* sewing need to finish oh's jacket and start trousers for a customer
* soup for lunch out of freezer
* spend some time pursuing leisure activities - that might be reading, carrying on with my 2 sewing for fun projects I have on the go or doing some Portuguese lessons
* make batch of veggie chilli and will freeze some. Got a steak out of the freezer for oh to have
* photo and list a few things on fleabay and facemarket
* exercise class fitnessblender
thanks CLF!
Ok that's my lot I think

Thanks all for the well wishes. I've been told to come home and rest up for the day. The dentist was so lovely I'm really glad I went to them. I've signed up to denplan now with them also.
Todays list
Cheap and healthy porridge for our breakfast
Went to the gym, did one class, refilled my water bottle and was going to do a run on the treadmill when one of the pt's came over for a chat (he'd knew I'd not been to the gym in a week so was asking if all was ok) ... he's recommended I don't do the running but do slow, incline walks instead. He said it would be better on my dodgy knees and better for weight loss too. I love my gym, nothing is ever too much trouble for them and they just want to help. they're fab.
Put the dishwasher on the quick wash
Emptied the water from the dehumidifier into the toilet cistern
Still to do
Check banking /update spreadsheet
Check off my credit card statement against the receipts - card used for points but always paid off in full
Make families lunches for tomorrow
Left over chicken dinner tonight - no food waste here
Continue logging food/exercise good for the waist line and bank balance
Thats about it, I'm off to have some paracetamol and watch a bit of tele x

Morning all.
Hideous wet weather here today. I'm having cocoa to cheer myself up.
My list for the week:
Batch cook some mac cheese and cottage pie and freeze. Find enough dishes for them for the freezer!
Make sure all leftovers are used up and there is no food waste
Keep the heating off where I don't need it
Keep an eye on banking and make sure everything is behaving as it should be
Make a food plan and shopping list for next month.
Do next month's shopping on Friday
Bake bread, rolls and fruit buns and cakes
Eat proper meals twice a day
Do 10000 steps a day
Avoid naps wherever possible
Make a doctors appointment to discuss meds
Empty cupboard so smart meter can be fitted
Do mending
Stick to my 'little bit a day' housework plan
Live the good life where you have been planted.

@dnms Thanks.
The little things:- Walk dog before work
- Brought all day lunch
- Give colleague a lift to work
- Free club run after work
- Reuse clothes - found in back of closet!
- Put heating back on timer - on holidays I cheat and just turn it down at night or if I know we're all out.
- Put money back in my EF as I got my child tax credits, and I had loaned money for my car insurance deposit.
- A busy week ahead am out every night, but no going out!
- Saturday is free park run and thats about where my planning run out, and I might even be just about out of food then as well.
