@determined_new_ms I need some sewing machine advice please! I want to try and sew pieces of my old plastic greenhouse together into a new mini one. Do you think that a fairly bog standard machine could cope with this and what sort of needle would I need?
Thanks!!LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.314 -
Yes I would think so. Depending on how thick the material is would depend on what size needle you needed. But other than size (11/12/14) I think I standard needle would be fine. Standard foot, maybe topstitch thread which is thicker. and if it's slipping put tissue paper or toilet roll underneath for the feet to grip tocarrielovesfanta said:@determined_new_ms I need some sewing machine advice please! Hi everyone 👋
Quiet day at home for me... Should get on with prepping Sunday lunch - veggie haggis 😎 OH is away out to take some photos - I was going to go for a walk but I couldn't be bothered and it would've meant messing about with nap times etc. As boring as it sounds I fancied staying in and sorting out some bits and pieces here.
I've started cleaning the bedroom but will dust and hoover when baby girl wakes up... Really want to keep up with TOMM next week... 😬
What else...
🌈dyeing my own hair at home
🌈batch cooking - leftovers still in the fridge for tomorrow's lunch 😇
🌈HM pizza yesterday - jackfruit, peppers, onion and BBQ sauce in the slow cooker - lovely topping
🌈OH is listing more stuff for sale this weekend 👏
🌈Reconciled YNAB - looking forward to bills going out tomorrow so I can play some more 🤣
🌈Still got £2.5k in the mat leave fund and I get paid at the end of April - totally doable and hopefully I'll still have £1k left... 👍
Catch you up tomorrow! 😘4 -
Going to try this tonight 👍determined_new_ms said:Carrie I love this and it tastes a bit more special than it sounds! sliced potatoes (uncooked) and onions layered. Each layer sprinkle some salt and a glug of olive oil then pour over tinned toms and finish with grateed cheese. Cook slowly covered for about 1.5hrs, uncover at end. Goes well with sausages or even as the main event4
