Santander Regular Saver: Account opened 11th April, initial standing order went in on the 13th April. Is the first date that I can add to it the 11th or the 13th, please? I think it's the 11th (going on what their summary states), but as the only date shown on the statement is the 13th, just want to make sure.0

For Santander, your monthly period runs from the day your account opens (IE. 11th Apr - 10th May). It doesn't matter when you make your deposit, just that you don't exceed £200/month. Month 2 will start on 11th May and you can make your deposit anytime up until 10th Jun.

PRAISETHESUN; thanks for confirming, I was pretty sure it was, but it's been a while since I bothered with the Santander Regular Saver.1 -
The Cumberland have increased their First Home Saver and Regular Saver accounts again, I don't know when it happened but it's nothing to get excited about. Maybe they're embarrassed about the piffling increase so chose not to notify anyone about it.
Both are now offering 1.3%, up from 1.25%

Hi Everybody,
I have changed the following items on page 1 of this thread for this weekend's update.
- Cumberland BS Regular Saver (Issue 3) interest rate updated to 1.3%
- Cumberland BS First Home Saver Account (Issue 2) interest rate updated to 1.3%
- Earl Shilton BS Regular Monthly Saver interest rate updated to 1.3%
- First Direct Regular Saver Account interest rate updated to 3.5% for new applicants
- Darlington BS Teen Goal Saver interest rate updated to 2.55%
- Darlington BS Darly Young Saver interest rate updated to 2.05%
- Darlington BS Special Occasion Saver interest rate updated to 1.8%
- Darlington BS Green Regular Saver added to the list, paying 1.4% on up to £250 per month with no maturity date, only available to locals and existing customers, although I note from JamesRobinson48 that you could open an easy access account and then open a regular saver account
- Ecology Building Society Regular Saver added to the list, paying 1.3% on up to £250 per month with no maturity date
I will be reviewing the interest rates that I use for the cut off for inclusion in page 1 of this thread but I would like to see what happens to interest rates following the latest Bank of England interest rate rise first.
I will do the next update next weekend.

With regards to their regular savers:
The Regular Saver (issue 5) rate will be increasing from 1.25% to 1.65% (which allows payments of £1 - £500 per month)
The First Home Saver rate will be increasing from 1.10% to 1.50% (which allows payments of £1 - £1,000 per month)
The rates on both accounts are increasing by 0.40% respectively.

Closed versions of Coventry BS regular savers are also increasing to 1.65%.0

It will be interesting to see which way Virgin will jump for HBC 11, due to surface in 10 days-ish. Remember when fixed rates ruled the roost, when we knew they wouldn't cut the rate. It's the variables that we are appreciating now.0
