Regular Savings Accounts: The Best Currently Available List!

Haven’t seen it mentioned, but Beehive Savings, the online brand of Nottingham Building Society seemed to have entered the regular savings game.

For those interested their ‘Moneypot Regular Saver’ pays 1.20% fixed on up to £500 p/m. Allows multiple deposits, but no withdrawals until April next year. Can be opened using their app.

Maybe one to watch for the future as rate can be beaten on easy access at the moment

1.2% is a pretty unexciting rate if you can get up to 1.5% instant access

But the Nottingham BS did have some good RSs a few years ago... maybe they'll come back?

Don't know where to get t&c, but all the Newcastle BS regular savers have a 2% interest rate and a limit of £200 per month. If you opened one early enough you can make a thirteenth payment. Think you can withdraw money early without penalty.

I'm hoping the hiatus is covid related - being (nominally) branch only I've got the distinct impression they don't want a stampede of customers arriving in person to open accounts.

The notable launches by other building societies have typically been those where online/postal/phone applications are openly welcomed/required.  The Beehive offering fits that pattern, even if the interest rate isn't that notable now.
