Cambridge BS has today pulled its RS product (paying 2.00%).0

One trick for Coventry, is you only need to remember the first five characters and the last character. They never seem to ask for any other characters, so I'm guessing they only store 6 characters from your password.

I see the Loughborough have pulled their Regular Saver now too. Was going to pop up there in the morning to open one

Fixed rate too, which is great for these uncertain times.molerat said:Virgin ReS Iss 15 now available at 2%, matures 20 April 21.1 -
YBS issue 3
I have issue 2 and 3, I can tolerate the rate of 2% on issue 2 but not 1.6% on issue 3.
Can I stop paying into issue 3 and get my money back, I have only put two lots in to date.
I looked on YBS website for advice but could not find any and I see that currently no regular saver accounts available.
I would like to stop this one and set up a virgin RS at 2%
Any advice please.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0 -
Yes, the email says they have lifted withdrawal restrictions until 5th Maytrickydicky14 said:YBS issue 3

The account conditions allow this account to be closed at anytime anyway, with no loss of interest.surreysaver said:

I would hold fire if I were you as other savings accounts with flexible conditions may reduce making the rate on this account suddenly look good. Thankfully many of the regular savers are fixed rates. However, if you need to close to enable you to afford the Virgin RS you can close immediately."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"4

No point in 'hold fire' when I can still find lots of 2% fixed RS out in the market.typistretired said:I would hold fire if I were you as other savings accounts with flexible conditions may reduce making the rate on this account suddenly look good. I don't need to close my YBS regular saver to fund a new one but why would you keep it.

Theres not that many 2% ers left, probably only Halifax which can be opened without needing other products with the institution. If not needing to close it to fund virgin then why would you?? It as allows £300 per month and will beat any instant access savings rate currently on the go. I'm keeping both mine even though I could get the 1.6% in my Al Rayan account in case that drops.trickydicky14 said:
