Most have very low limits, like £500 max. Way too low for the proceeds of a matured Regular Saver.SuperHans1 said:Many mobile banking apps allow you to pay in a cheque using a photo nowadays.

I just thought he may have to travel to pay in cheque and his Post Office would be local but of course there is a slight delay"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

Are you sure you want to close your ISA? Do you not want to transfer the balance to another ISA? The minute you withdraw the matured funds, they lose their tax-free wrapper. Is this really what you want to do? Can you tell us more about your plans for the matured money?Speculator said:Anyone have a Nottingham Regular saver about to mature? Withdrawals are cheque only (or £20 CHAPS).
I have a Starter ISA maturing this April and I have already sent off the maturity instruction for cheque closure.
I guess it would be impossible to pay in a cheque now following the Boris announcement.0 -
But you can only visit them if you're mid way through your daily run, bike ride etc.Speculator said:

I don't think any of the banks that I use will allow a £20000 cheque using a photo. I am happy to be corrected.SuperHans1 said:

Most shops will close with immediate effect, with only “essential” stores such as food outlets, pharmacies, petrol stations, post offices, hardware shops and newsagents allowed to stay open. Banks will also be allowed to keep their doors open.

The only bank/BS remaining in my town is TSB and a Saffron BS. Santander/Lloyds/Barclays/HSBC/Halifax/Natwest all shut recently.typistretired said:I just thought he may have to travel to pay in cheque and his Post Office would be local but of course there is a slight delay
According to the FT, Banks will be allowed to remain open. Not sure if I am allowed to pay my cheque in if it's open.

ISA rates are too low and I need the money because I pay in about £15K per month into regular savers.

What I would do would be to swallow the £20 charge, get the cheque cancelled and get the money via CHAPS. I would not normally pay a CHAPS charge but these are not normal times.Speculator said:Anyone have a Nottingham Regular saver about to mature? Withdrawals are cheque only (or £20 CHAPS).
