My Halifax regular saver has matured and I've applied for a new regular saver.
However, I've just noticed that it has also created an Everyday Saver account at 0.1% - this didn't use to happen, is this now normal?
Yes, it is normal. They tell you so on https://www.halifax.co.uk/savings/fixed-term/regular-saver/

If you have an M&S current account which you switched to and have two active DD then their RS is still showing as 2.75%. My previous one matured the other day so I applied for a new one.

Ipswich Building Society’s Smart Save Issue 2 regular saver has closed.  :(
And it's not clear to me what happens at the Anniversary date for existing accounts. Can we continue paying in in the next year for another bonus as normal, or will the bonus be withdrawn for existing accounts?
    MaxZorin said:
From what I remember, the bonus ceases (2.5%) and it reverts to the variable rate of 0.3%.
That's what normally happens at every anniversary - money already in the account begins to earn the base variable rate, but  following the anniversary any new money added to the account attracted a new bonus. It's not clear what's going to happen now that the product has been withdrawn for new applicants.

Anyone have a Nottingham Regular saver about to mature? Withdrawals are cheque only (or £20 CHAPS).
I have a Starter ISA maturing this April and I have already sent off the maturity instruction for cheque closure.
I guess it would be impossible to pay in a cheque now following the Boris announcement.

    Nottingham ISA
I have this Starter ISA with Nottingham and I will probably transfer in April to a flexible ISA with Yorkshire BS or Coventry or Ford and then decide to withdraw money through faster payments dependent on the situation in April/May.
Perhaps contact Notts BS and explain the problem and stop the cheque; or you could post the cheque to your bank with a paying-in slip during your morning run.

Many mobile banking apps allow you to pay in a cheque using a photo nowadays.

I don't think any of the banks that I use will allow a £20000 cheque using a photo.  I am happy to be corrected.

It is a starter ISA maturing.
Under the new system you will be able to pay in they use the photo system now. You pay a cheque in and next day it is cleared. If you cannot go to bank use your local Post Office with a paying in slip
ps this is regular saver postings not ISA

Just seen this in the FT
Most shops will close with immediate effect, with only “essential” stores such as food outlets, pharmacies, petrol stations, post offices, hardware shops and newsagents allowed to stay open. Banks will also be allowed to keep their doors open.
