I've just received an email about the rate change following the base rate reduction on the 11th March. Ironically it doesn't mention yesterdays base rate reduction!glider3560 said:How have you all been informed of the YBS interest rate change? I've had no emails or letters.
"On 11 March it was announced that the Bank of England base rate had been reduced from 0.75% to 0.25%, which means that we’ll be reducing the interest rates on our variable savings accounts by up to 0.50% on 5 April."0 -

Must say I'm surprised they didn't at least nibble at the 2% rate but happy they didn't!0

I don't think there's a more extreme example of security than with Coventry BS! An impossible to remember ID, your DOB (though thankfully as an old codger not many years to scroll through!), then three characters from your password, then three numbers from the grid card. To that they are going to add texted characters to your phone.
I can comfortably get by with one visit a month so it's not a personal issue, but I do admire them for not hitting the interest rate. Yet, anyway,

I believe the texted characters will replace the grid card, at least for the regular log in. I keep my login info in my password manager, which fills in things like un-rememberable userids.schiff said:I don't think there's a more extreme example of security than with Coventry BS! As long as they keep paying 2.5% on their regular savers, they can give me any old impossible to remember userid, anyway
