They definitely had it on Sunday morning, but before that I do not know.jameseonline said:Also when did Principality mobile site (and/or standard site) get a new look?1 -
I was under the impression mine had been accepted, I had my customer number sent via e-mail.friolento said:Looks like I missed Newcastle's account opening window for today. I thought my aplication had gone through and I would be able to see the new RS online but it's not there yet. As I wasn't sure I had applied properly, I applied for a second time - same result, and this time I noticed they say it could be 24 hours before I can see the account online. So now I have two "accepted" applications sitting in the Q. Let's see what happens. With Tipton BS, I had two of the same, both about to mature, with the max balance in each.
Then I just noticed my old browser has the word 'error' on it and I cannot log in so you may not be alone.0 -
Hi Everybody,
I have just updated the first page of this thread.
- Newcastle BS Regular Saver (Issue 1) added paying 5.5% gross p.a. variable on up to £200 per month for 12 months, maximum account balance £2,400 plus interest
- Principality BS Christmas 2025 Regular Saver Bond added paying 7% gross p.a. fixed on up to £125 per month, maximum amount you can deposit over the 12 months is £1,500.
I will do the next update within the next 2 weeks.

This could be a whole new subtheme - how to time applying in such a way to trick an institution into accidentally giving you 2 top rate accounts.friolento said:Looks like I missed Newcastle's account opening window for today. I don't think it's working at Newcastle. Only 1 RS is showing now in my accounts.

Oh well! Wouldn't have been the 1st time this forum had unearthed some brilliantly useful glitchfriolento said:s71hj said:

Trying to open a Christmas saver with PBS. Am an existing customer but it keeps running into a problem. Will probably go into branch to sort it out as I'm not a fan of BS online services to be honest. MHBS feels like I've gone back in time by about 20 years!
Anyway apologies for mini-rant. I just wondered if anyone else (existing PBS customers) had been having a problem too?0 -
Existing customer. Clicked apply. As an existing customer I was given the option to login and then it took about 2 minutes. Easy.WindfallWendy said:Trying to open a Christmas saver with PBS. Afraid not, mine was opened very quickly, and half of that time was just waiting for the SMS passcode. I've been avoiding anything under 6% but ended up grabbing their Regular Saver issue 34 while I was at it too.WindfallWendy said:Trying to open a Christmas saver with PBS. Clicked apply - prompted me to log in - check a few boxes re tax and document reads and boom - account open.
I opened online, Windows, Chrome - if that helps.1
