    Halifax RS

Halifax does not permit to take out funds but allows early closure. Can you reopen a new RS straight after or are you blocked from opening until the 12 months are up, similar like TSB?
There is a "no re-open within 12 months" rule for Halifax RS but doesn't seem to be enforced. However, this may change, so close early with a view to re-opening at your own risk.
There was never such rule for Halifax RS, is it something new?
  • I think the only one I've seen personally that blocks you completely from reopening within 12 months (due to building validation into their systems) is TSB.

I haven't received any communication about it yet.

I think the draw must have been postponed, I didn't receive my prize payment  :D

I never won anything through the Nationwide Start to Save prize draws.  Not expecting to win anything through the Coventry BS prize draws.  Happy to be proven wrong though!

Oh, I though I was........... :D:D Keep it ON topic, please :o:D
Had a moneyfax email today and I can't see anything new for RS.
I was wondering if Coventry might be considering a new Loyalty RS sometime next month, but not heard anything though the grapevine.
I've got a Gatehouse maturing in early December but their latest 5.3% is a little anemic, to say the least.
Having said that, in a few months time we might all be saying 5.3 is a good rate....... :/
A new Coventry Regular?, they just withdrawn 1 and launched a 6% for their mortgage customers so I doubt it
In was thinking about the Loyalty Regular Saver, not the anemic standard RS on offer. Just because they've started a mortgage RS doesn't mean they won't think about loyal savers, but I won't hold my breath on that!

5.3% is already a good rate for RS.  The best EA I’m now getting is 5.12%. Anything above best EA rate is good. I had a break in funding gatehouse issue2, but resumed this month. I also opened and funded 5.25% Aldermore before it goes NLA.
I suppose it depends on how many RS you have or want. I've maxed out on all the 5.5 -10% RS available. I might contemplate the Gatehouse but I've decided to max out Hanley @ 5.5 on 1k each month before I think about GH.
Knowing me, I'll just go and open a GH anyway......... :D
