Looks like I missed Newcastle's account opening window for today. I thought my aplication had gone through and I would be able to see the new RS online but it's not there yet. As I wasn't sure I had applied properly, I applied for a second time - same result, and this time I noticed they say it could be 24 hours before I can see the account online. So now I have two "accepted" applications sitting in the Q. Let's see what happens. With Tipton BS, I had two of the same, both about to mature, with the max balance in each.
This could be a whole new subtheme - how to time applying in such a way to trick an institution into accidentally giving you 2 top rate accounts.
That's happened to me four times with 2 x RS accounts being opened due to system error and then I've fully funded each month. One of the accidental doubles matured last week and both received the full interest and converted to an easy account for withdrawl with no problem and no questions asked.
That's the fault of the system timing out upon application and not my attempt at trying to trick it into giving me 2 RS accounts.

It wasn't written with an intention of accusation! If a glitch in the system was identified that allowed it, I'd do it!

Trying to open a Christmas saver with PBS. Am an existing customer but it keeps running into a problem. Will probably go into branch to sort it out as I'm not a fan of BS online services to be honest. MHBS feels like I've gone back in time by about 20 years!

Anyway apologies for mini-rant. I just wondered if anyone else (existing PBS customers) had been having a problem too?
I had a few error problems too last night. Tried link supplied by ForumUser7 and got in and up and set up new account within a few minutes. https://online.principality.co.uk/Originations/LaunchPage.aspx?ProductCode=6081&ProductType=RegularSaver&CIJ=true#!
Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one, but I do still keep getting the error. It shows me all the documents and I tick a box to accept and then it goes whoopsie. Is it likely they system needs me to click on every pdf link??

Have opened up 3 accounts at the same time.
Christmas Saver 7% £125 Reg Saver per month
    6 month bond 8% £200 per month
Regular Saver 5.5% £250 per month
Found it easier to do in branch. Have yet to calculate the %age return but I don't expect it to be that much!

Just need a little patience I think.  I also had problems with both the 6 month regular saver and this new one. Got there eventually. Just seems a bit random.

I always click on the pdf links and download them for my info, so perhaps you do need to do that. I know some banks don't allow you to proceed any further until you've opened up the blurb which you may well need.

Thank. That seemed to work for me too after having multiple errors.
