  • Just opened this. No trouble on Princiality website but problems setting up a new payment fro my Santander account. I had to ring them and after ages on hold, they put the initial payment through manually.

    Principality BS CHRISTMAS RS

Anyone else having issues logging in to open this? Keep getting sorry something has gone wrong.

Yes, I could not get it to work in Chrome. Workerd fine when using the Edge browser.
other way round for me! So NO 13th?
The maximum balance is £1500, so no 13th payment if you deposit full allowance every month.

New Principality Xmas 25 RS @7% £125/month - no 13 payments because £1500 maximum in account. Fix is good but no withdrawals, however you can close the RS and get interest applicable up to that date. Also you do not have to make monthly payments. I may go over my personal savings allowance for 25-26 but 7% is equivalent to 5.6% fixed so still a good rate for a 20% tax payer who has to pay tax on the interest.
I probably shouldn`t praise Principality for not making it mandatory to open information in another window but it makes the process quicker.

    Opened...''
  • Gone a bit crazy today.
Opened and funded PBS Xmas saver7%, Nationwide  regular saver 6.5% and appled minutes ago for the Newcastle BS 5.5%.

BTW how long have l got to fund  the Newcastle 5.5% after opening  it?

  • Can someone cleverer than me think about this?
I opened a PBS Xmas Saver today and funded it and then will do on the 1st of each month.
Worries I have been better opening and finding it on the 1st November and then each month?
Or will there interest received need the same over the 12 months?
