My Saffron Small Saver is maturing on 4 Oct, Friday. What should be my next course of action?

    1. Should I let it mature & wait for the maturity instructions to be executed i.e., new Small Saver opened with £50 & rest proceeds to be credited to my nom acct? Would I be able to access remaining funds: 550+18.61 in my nominated acct on Friday or should I expect credit  on Monday? Will the new Small saver be opened on Friday 4 Oct automatically or is there a waiting period of a day or so?
    OR

    2. Should I withdraw all the funds now to my nom acct & wait for the interest £18.61 to be credited to the nom account later? And open a new small saver myself either on Friday or Monday, whenever the system allows?

Mine matured in March. I called Saffron in advance and instructed them to open new Small Saver, put £50 in there and transfer the rest to my nominated account.  That worked, maturity day fell on Sunday but i still received my money and saw new account opened on that date.

Edit: Actually not a new account, the account number stayed the same, just had to start depositing from scratch.  Works the same as with Halifax RS.
As per the forum suggestion, I let the Small saver mature. I had already given maturity instruction online to open new Small Saver with £50 & rest of the proceeds £568.7 to be credited to my nom acct.

    Guess what they did?
    Nom acct credited with £568.7 + £18.7
New Saver open, with the same acct number with balance £31.3, NOT £50 as requested!
    Just WHY?

Overfunded amount just arrived back from Principality - so less than 12 hours in my case.
And you'll get a letter in the post.

    Cheers

Anyone know what Market Harborough are upto because I can't access their online services & there's nothing till 10th October scheduled.

Wanted to check if my money was credited from yesterday.
    Wondering the same.

I topped Melton up to £200 yesterday (within normal working hours, but later than I’d have liked due to funds not arriving from HRBS particularly promptly - but still earlier than Monmouthshire.) It is dated processed today but listed as posted yesterday, so wondering if the account is likely to accept £200 this month?
I today sent £20 to the account - had the processed date been an issue, it would only have accepted £15. It has been applied to my account in full.

Received an email from Coop bank about rate reductions earlier. Good news is the reg saver with 7% remains at it's current rate.
I may as well stay with the theme from earlier. I'm afraid @Hattie627 beat you to it 2 months ago.

West Brom Regular Saver - Has anyone (from outside the local area) tried opening an easy access account -to become a member - and then opened the regular saver?
Yes, I grabbed the West Brom Four Access Saver (Issue 1)  at 4.9% which I thought might be useful since rates are dropping on so many Easy & Limited access accounts and more importantly for me it was a very easy stepping stone to the RS so that I didn't need to travel to a branch since I'm out of area. Opened the 4 access, got immediate online access and the following day opened the RS. Unfortunately that EA account went NLA very quickly. Can definitely confirm should they launch another issue, its a decent route to become an existing customer to access the RS. There may be other EA options to become existing member but not currently at a decent rate.
Thanks for the replies. I've opened their basic saver with a view to being able to open the RS in a few days.

    Thanks,
My daughter had a letter yesterday saying the Co Op rates were changing. Sheonly has a regular saver with them (same as me, but I didn't get a letter). Yet, the letter didn't show the change in rate. I was checking the website which still shows 7%, so glad you confirmed it. DD is switching bank accounts from Santander to First Direct on her 18th birthday (2 weeks time), so will benefit from the £175 switch money and then have another 7% regular saver with first direct £300 a month.

I have principality first home step issue 1+2+3

Does anyone know what is the withdrawal restrictions.....

I seem to remember some issue have no restrictions, whereas some have 60 days notice.

If anyone have the PDF then that would be awesome thanks

5.25% is the bottom of the RS pyramid interest rate for me. So I want to be able to withdraw if needed.
