Saffron Small SaverSaffron pay on same day. If you have given instructions already, then the interest will be added on Friday, the new small saver (same account no) will be credited with £50, and the balance including interest will arrive in your nominated account on Friday afternoon.I have used Saffron for 8 years and still have my original account number and this technique has always been followed.7

1. Should I let it mature & wait for the maturity instructions to be executed i.e., new Small Saver opened with £50 & rest proceeds to be credited to my nom acct?
Option 1., I would expect your Saffron account number to remain unchanged and be used for your"new" RS1 -
Mine matured in March. I called Saffron in advance and instructed them to open new Small Saver, put £50 in there and transfer the rest to my nominated account. That worked, maturity day fell on Sunday but i still received my money and saw new account opened on that date.ChewyyBacca said:My Saffron Small Saver is maturing on 4 Oct, Friday. 1. Should I let it mature & wait for the maturity instructions to be executed i.e., new Small Saver opened with £50 & rest proceeds to be credited to my nom acct? Would I be able to access remaining funds: 550+18.61 in my nominated acct on Friday or should I expect credit on Monday? Will the new Small saver be opened on Friday 4 Oct automatically or is there a waiting period of a day or so?
OR
2. Should I withdraw all the funds now to my nom acct & wait for the interest £18.61 to be credited to the nom account later? And open a new small saver myself either on Friday or Monday, whenever the system allows?
Edit: Actually not a new account, the account number stayed the same, just had to start depositing from scratch. Works the same as with Halifax RS.1 -
I always request everything to go to my Saffron easy access account then request funds from there, which Saffron always do, saves having a new maturity account.0

In addition you can contact them towards the end of the month and ``refresh" the regular saver again to get full advantage from the account term beginning at the end of the month.Descrabled said:Saffron Small SaverSaffron pay on same day. I did this in April, refreshed on 5/4/24 to get the interest paid in the 23-24 tax year and refreshed again on 30/4/24 to push the bulk of the interest to the 25-26 tax year and to eek a bit more interest out of the Small Saver.
Additionally the interest earned in those 3-4 weeks has remained in the Small Saver.6 -
The West BromReceived a Text from WBBS this afternoon advising they're a bit behind on processing applications for the Regular Saver.2

So did I. In fact have had several even though they told me they had cancelled my application as i asked them to, because they were taking too long - 3 weeks as of today. I did ask why they kept taking applications when they realised they couldn't cope and they said they pulled the account when they realised. Poor management and planning reallyCuparLad said:The West BromReceived a Text from WBBS this afternoon advising they're a bit behind on processing applications for the Regular Saver.0 -
Tilton and Coseley BS:- Regular Saver maturing on 31st October 2024
Has anyone received letter/email from T & C with maturity options/information?
As highlighted in earlier posts, the app is now set up to record maturity options but there is no information as to what the options are.1 -
Mine took two weeks. Then, as a new customer, I had to ring up to get a PIN to be able to access online and had to wait another 24 hours before I could actually log in.CuparLad said:The West BromReceived a Text from WBBS this afternoon advising they're a bit behind on processing applications for the Regular Saver.
If they weren't expecting this volume of applications I wonder how long they'll hold the rate for if they have attracted more funds than required.1 -

When their last RS matured at the end of July, they emailed the options two weeks before maturity3
