YBS RSMy account was showing on the website but still setting up earlier today. As it gave account details, I did a transfer from my bank - showed after a couple of hours as Credit and Cancelled Credit so you can't use the account before the deposit link works! It now says that I can deposit so have repeated the transaction - fingers crossed!
Do Money Saving sites make you buy more bargains - and spend more money?0 -
Nah YBS like to do the pending further checks thing with me when I open new accounts so I get the restrictions on account/grey box thing on deposit in app, so have to wait to deposit.allegro120 said:
The account is opened if it is showing in app and if it is opened you can fund it straight away.jameseonline said:I've just checked my YBS app, the £50 Regular is now showing in app.
I'm now wondering if I actually still need to give them ID to get it fully open, bare in mind usually when I apply for a YBS account it will show up in app same day then it will be a day or so until I can start depositing.
Will keep an eye on it anyway, maybe they messed things up or could be a big delay on it showing up in app or both, hmm 🤔
I've opened many YSB accounts and never had to wait for a day, I deposit as soon as account is opened and the money is showing in an hour or so.
I got concerned yesterday that it wasn't showing in app & thought maybe they changed things, but then I don't think YBS have asked me to upload ID etc before.
I've had a reminder email today to do the ID thing.0 -

I called Melton yesterday and received application form this morning. They don't provide with prepaid envelope, but spending 85p is worth the offer. I've included cheque for £200, that was the requirement outlined in the letter. Considering how quick they process things I might have my account opened by Friday or Monday next week unless they will ask for ID.csw5780 said:https://www.themelton.co.uk/regular_savings/regular-saver-6/Downloaded form Monday, posted Tuesday. I was going to call and ask for one but didn’t get round to it today. I will just print one in that case.allegro120 said:

£200 is the monthly maximum so it would be very odd if it was that or nothing. I haven’t found a stated minimum, hopefully they will accept an application with less as I don’t have £200 spare until month end.
