How long does it take for YBS to show the £50 online in the app? paid in using their open banking facility and seems like they route it all through Natwest.
I've checked 5 minutes after I made payment, it wasn't showing.  Checked about 1 hour later and £50 was there.

Also, has anyone else spotted the Loughborough five year retirement monthly saver for over 55's? The Loughborough Building Society - Five Year Retirement Monthly Saver  5.5% Var but with up to £550/month and can run for 5 years. Application form can be scanned and emailed to them with first deposit electronically once opened.
Thanks. Despite the reservations about Loughborough's tendency to reduce their RS rates sooner than one would wish, I've decided to apply via the scan and email route. Will see how it goes, and can always close if I decide it's not for me.

YBS wanted ID from me as well despite having sent it for the last account I opened late last year as well.

    Loughborough.
I called them and have been told that the only way to apply is by visiting branch and bring passport, driving licence and council tax bill (I'm not a member).  The earliest appointment they could offer was next Tuesday (they must be very busy :) It probably differs from branch to branch, I've picked the closest one, 8 miles drive for me, other branches are too far away.

I still get "further checks" needed when opening a YBS account even though a member for years
Same here. ...member since 1990s, same address since 1992. I have 4 accounts at the moment.
I have had more accounts with YBS than I've eaten Yorkshire puddings!
Account now show OK for deposits...no email advising it's open yet so sent £1 to check.
  • Thanks to the poster who provided details of the HSBC regular saver. I have had an active account with them for years, but didn’t receive any notification. No mind, opened and funded now very smoothly

  • Opened and funded the YBS regular saver this morning. I am able to log into online banking ok, but when I try to use the app and enter my customer number and DOB, a message comes up saying 'there is an error'. Anyone else had issues?

I applied last Saturday using the scanned documents route and received a very polite email from Loughborough at 10am this morning saying the account would be open shortly and they would let me know the account details ASAP, Hope this helps.
