Loughborough Five Year Retirement Monthy Saver

I called them and have been told that the only way to apply is by visiting branch and bring passport, driving licence and council tax bill ..
I'll see what happens. Under 'How To Apply' on their website it clearly states 'alternatively, you can scan your completed, signed application and identity documents to savings@theloughborough.co.uk. An electronic payment can be made once the account is opened'.

Won't be losing any sleep if the application is declined.

    YBS 8%

Applied, got the same further checks message as I got for the first time in January when I applied for the Xmas Saver (been a member for about 2 years now) but haven’t been asked for ID as yet. Looking on the app it looks as though I can now pay in but I don’t know if I should as they’re yet to tell me that they’ve completed the checks.

my YBS further checks at least completed today (after applying today), which is much better than the multiple days of previous time waiting
  • YBS 8%

Successfully opened about 15 minutes ago with no issues  :) no request for ID or further info so hopefully should be ok

    HSBC

Attempted to close my current 5% regular saver through chat but there is a block on it. I have to phone up customer services but as I can't find my customer number or debit card this may take a while! [debit card is not used on this account so know it is not in anyone else's hands]

  • YBS 13th payment for the new £50 8% one - may have missed this, but is it permitted please?

£600 maximum deposits. So you can make a 13th payment if at least one of your months has less than £50 deposited within it
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

Can someone remind me how it works if set the date of £250 standing order from a Santander current account to HSBC current account as the same day the £250 standing order goes into the HSBC regular saver? If Santander process their standing orders after HSBC and thus funds not there when HSBC try and take then do HSBC automatically try again later in day a bit like banks do with direct debits? Thks
Yes, HSBC would try the standing order again later in the day

Having said that Santander send their standing orders before HSBC do
Thanks, will set up Santander standing order for same day then. Santander ones come out c130am, what time do HSBC ones come out?

I emailed them for a hard copy of the application form, they replied saying it was in the post. My address shows I live on the south coast.
