Has anyone received their passbook for the Issue 2 Exclusive yet? Sent my signature form off over a week ago now and nothing. On the contrary, both my wife and I have needed ours for last year's Exclusive. I needed mine to close the account early (to get the interest applied to last tax year's allowance) and she needed to send hers back in by snail mail because the code they sent to manage maturity didn't work.Keep them somewhere safe would be my advice!0 -
I know. My preference was to avoid risking postal delays and an unnecessary trip to the nearest post box. My post was in response to someone who had called them and been told that the only way to apply is by visiting branch and bringing original ID documents.Growingold said:

It also says you can apply by post which I've done sending id along with the application form. BUT you don't have to send original ID they accept photocopies.1 -
Monmouthshire BSStill waiting on passbooks x 2. We were a bit slow returning the online signatory forms, I imagine they'll materialise at some point in the next couple of days. The NottinghamVisited our local branch just now to get our accounts opened - hopefully wont take so long for future accounts now we're set up. Took a little while but very friendly service. Definitely not one for those who need to see everything happen in real time; the only withdrawal options are cash (with notice or max £500), cheque or CHAPS (chargeable), no faster payments.Interesting tidbit - apparently Beehive Money is being brought back in under The Nottingham name in the next 6 months. I think @Section62 mentioned this might be happening upthread, seems to be real, and explains why the account isn't being offered in a Beehive flavour . Hopefully with it comes some online access for their branch products.6

Ditto, when I phoned up Monmouthshire last week the CS guy I spoke to was adamant they needed an ink signature posted back before any transactions could be done.35har1old said:
I asked the same question and was told the exact opposite.DJDools said:

I've been waiting a week today for something in the post.mattojgb said:
Am I to understand that they had lost and/or had no record of your account opening? I applied last Wednesday and haven't heard anything from them. I may just go into a branch tomorrow.FishInGlass said:
The hard working gentleman was not doing that when I went in branch at 4.40 today. I phoned them earlier to find my online application from last Wednesday had gone walkabout. Went in and 10 minuters later had a new shiny passbook with £500 deposited. Normally it would take longer but as one lady said if I have already applied online I would have already seen the T&Cs.trickydicky14 said:

I’m bored this afternoon & keen to get MONBS up & running & 1 Sept SO set up before I go away for 3 weeks this weekend. ‘Pending’ has now disappeared so assume they’re busy crediting yesterday’s FPs. Got a mental picture of ladies in full Welsh National costume, entering figures in a huge ledger in beautiful copperplate script.badger09 said:
My £500 sent yesterday morning is not yet showing in MONBS RS account. Account just shows ‘Pending’, but no balance. I had expected it to be credited today.schiff said:
Signature letter dated 21/8 (day of application) received today and sent back today. Added the account successfully to the home page and sent £100 by FP today, intending to add £400 once it shows. Optimistic that it will be done and dusted in August for adding to it next month.badger09 said:MONBS RS
I applied for this 22/8 & received signature letter today. I’ve added account to ‘My Accounts’ & sent initial £500 by FP this morning. I’ll post signature form tomorrow & set up SO from 1 Sept as soon as £500 appears.
My Exclusive 1 matures on Friday but I wasn't prepared to risk waiting.Honestly, I’m not normally this obsessive & I do really like MONBS & Principality, even if they are a tad old fashioned. If it helps, and you have digital access to the mons.com website (or app?), then you can send them a digital image of your signatory form via secure message. I asked and they said they would be happy to accept this.
Explanation given requires a wet signature0 -
The cost of the postage is nothing compared to the printing of the passbookStargunner said:

I really don't think it's as much as you're imagining.35har1old said:

I've just checked my YBS app, the £50 Regular is now showing in app.
I'm now wondering if I actually still need to give them ID to get it fully open, bare in mind usually when I apply for a YBS account it will show up in app same day then it will be a day or so until I can start depositing.
Will keep an eye on it anyway, maybe they messed things up or could be a big delay on it showing up in app or both, hmm 🤔0 -
YBS
I am definitely being targeted (see my earlier post way back). Mitek were completely happy with my ID checks. YBS aren't.
Email today saying problems with my ID. One or more of them, they don't say which; invited to apply again!1 -
Mine is funded. Waited until lunchtime ish and as I still hadn’t heard from them, I sent a £1 test payment. That took about 2 hours to arrive but I’ve since sent the rest.
If I recall from the extra checks with the Christmas version, they told me they had completed the checks by snail mail rather than emailing, so I didn’t want to lose a week of 8% if others hadn’t had a problem with funding as soon as the app would allow. Although I didn’t use debit card, it seemed as though it would have let me.0 -
The account is opened if it is showing in app and if it is opened you can fund it straight away.jameseonline said:I've just checked my YBS app, the £50 Regular is now showing in app.

I've opened many YSB accounts and never had to wait for a day, I deposit as soon as account is opened and the money is showing in an hour or so.
