Regular Savings Accounts: The Best Currently Available List!

As you have said, there is no reference to max amount. I don't know for sure, but this normally means that 13th payment is allowed. I remember their Christmas and Coronation had limits, but this one doesn't seem to have one. If you make 13th payment, the worst thing can happen is they bounce your £300 back.t1redmonkey said:Monmouthshire BS Regular Savers - does anyone know if 13th payments are permitted? I have the 8% Exclusive Regular Saver and the 7% Regular Saver (issue 2) which are maturing next month for me. I have £3600 in each already, I've had a look at the archived pages for them and can't see any reference to a max amount that can be paid in, or any mentions of whether 13th payments are or aren't allowed. So I'm guessing it's fine to take them both to £3900 on 1st August, but thought I'd see if anyone here knows for sure.1 -
Still available to existing members regardless of location - log in and select open new account.Special_Saver2 said:

Am I right in thinking there's no way of opening any kind of Vernon account unless you live in the correct postcode?0

You can still open a fixed rate bond with them but I don't think it's worth it personallyThePirates said:Am I right in thinking there's no way of opening any kind of Vernon account unless you live in the correct postcode?2 -
Minimum deposit of £5k, so not worth it!gt94sss2 said:

they have a 35-Day Notice account currently paying 4.10% that is open to anyone 18+ in the UK with no postcode restrictions - the minimum balance is £500 though.ThePirates said:Am I right in thinking there's no way of opening any kind of Vernon account unless you live in the correct postcode?

I didn't spot that! Presumably its worth opening that to get one's foot in the door, open the Regular Saver then give my 35 days notice? Is there anything wrong with that?janusdesign said:

Vernon
It would seem the 'existing member' requirement for the Vernon requires you to have been a member since before 1st May 2024. I have just opened the 35 day account to become a member, and have tried to apply for the Regular Saver, and one of the requirements is for the above date to have had membership since
Might be worth me keeping £500 in the notice account to keep my foot in the doorI consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?3 -

Typical for small local low tech BS opening their doors to a wider consumer market. At least you are in their system, so if they pull the product any time soon you are still likely to have your account opened.CuparLad said:ProgressiveI received a call from Progressive about an hour after my last post. The person I spoke to admitted:- They had no idea why I'd been sent an online message when there was no way I could access it
- They're overwhelmed with applications for the RS
- They are having lots of IT issues
- The only option was to reapply, which I did while they were on the phone. It failed at the first page.
It's been referred to IT to resolve, but there was "quite a backlog" of IT issues.
