I have transferred this months money into my new account using my Halifax debit card but when I try to use the same account to set up the monthly standing order I get the client details not validated message.Do we know what bank accounts apart from First Direct work as I am trying to avoid a double transfer to pay in from next month.0

Halifax complained that the 11 digit reference number did not match but I can't see that being an issue as that is what Progressive asked me to provide.Following on from other posters I have set up my Santander account as my nominated account for withdrawal. Maybe in 11 or 12 months time i'll be able to change this if necessary, but i'm not planning on taking the money out in a hurry. Thanks everyone for their help - just a senior moment thinking I needed the nominated account for my monthly standing order.

As a computer security nerd I actually quite like that, it's the only bank/BS I know that does it, not the biggest fan of SMS because of the SIM swapping potential.2 -

I think in the early days there were issues funding CO Operative Regular Saver from non CO Operative accounts but I've always funded it from Virgin Money into my CO Operative Current Account then transfer into the regular0
