I've opened Progressive RS this morning. After three failed attempts I've decided to call and a very helpful agent got it opened for me. Deposited £20 from First Direct (despite the message saying that the reference number is wrong). My deposit didn't show during the day, but I've checked now and it is there. Setting up nominated account (FD) wasn't a problem. I'm not sure whether to deposit the remaining £280 tomorrow or wait until Monday. Does anyone know if they credit deposits at weekends?

I had no issue opening my account but my wife did.
Her account number ended in a X and led to reference not recognised tried several banks with the same result the authentication app Salesforce failed to issue any acceptable codes had to use the Google authentication app.
Opened a easy excess account then attempted payment from BOS it's approval process said I needed to change payee from the Progessive to the name on the account payment was successful then transferred the £300 then made a internal transfer to regular-saver

It appears they have added additional online accounts one of which is a regular saver only paying 4%0 -
Stargunner said:i opened the Progressive BS RS today. I sent a £10 test deposit by bank transfer which is now showing, so I have sent an additional £290.
The Gross/AER rate showing on my account is 0.26%, yet the summary document shows 7.0%.

I sent a £1 test payment and when it was confirmed over the phone I sent £299.00.I also tried to link my bank, this button was not avalible until after first deposit was made. But its not working at the moment, you get as far as ref, at the bottom of the page, tried Reg saver etc and acc number but nothing works.Hellen their rep is very polite and helpful, she is looking into the issue and hopes to call me tonight or Monday.FD does not like their ref No, but if you proceed it works its self out.I used small business option.0

Progressive BS Online Saver (7.0%)
Just opened and funded one of these accounts too. Looks like they don’t actually process these faster payment bank transfers until the next banking day, if it’s not received between 10am and 3pm. So might be one of those accounts that you probably don’t want to pay in until the first working day of the month (e.g like the other building societies such as Skipton and Saffron)?0
