    Account set up.

Tried to make a bank transfer and get reference not recognised.
    Got Sort code
    Got Acc number
Got Ref 11 digits checked once logged in.

    Name, Progressive or mine ?
    Using First Direct

    Help Please.

If you're doing it to a 'Business', use 'Progressive Building Society'. That at least ensures the Confirmation of Payee check will run correctly.

If you do it as 'Personal' it won't match as there is no account in your name with PBS' 8-digit account number. You can still push this through but may disadvantage yourself if you make a mistake or an erroneous payment in the future.

NatWest popped up with a message that my reference was an unusual format or words to that effect, I assume due to the leading 0s in my account number which I used in the reference. Still, I pushed it through and proceeded to make the payment, so hopefully it turns up tomorrow!

Useful info but would probably be better placed in the Top Easy Access Savings Discussion Area

Anyone managed to add a nominated account? I assume this will be necessary for withdrawals. Of course their slightly dodgy IT system doesn't like hyphens in the name fields, so this is presumably the cause of the bank account check failing...

No issue here, but I don't have a hyphenated name.

I'm all logged in, there is no buttom to do this.
It might take a day or two to turn up being its a new account.
    I found this info.

You can change your linked bank account for each of your Progressive savings' accounts from your home screen using the "Edit Linked Bank Account" button. For security reasons, when you make this change, you will be unable to withdraw or close your account for 7 days.  You can still withdraw funds and deposit into your account in one of our branches.

My button appears in the right hand corner of the grey box where the account is shown.
