Progressive - I've struggled to add my nominated account so phoned their online support team. Seems that the don't have many of the UK (and in my case Scottish) banks set up on their system. The very helpful agent said she'd add in my sort code.  I think that they are very busy after this account was posted here!

Progressive - opened the 7% regular saver yesterday evening. Account opened but reference number showing as pending. Thought it would update overnight but it didn’t. Phoned them & agent couldn’t understand it so said would look into it, she did say they are having problems with their IT system and are very busy with calls. Unable to make a payment in until I have the reference number as chose to do a bank transfer rather then paying by debit card. I did suggest that I cancel the application and start again but was advised not to due to the difficulties they are having. Will wait and see how long it takes to sort and when I get a call back.

    Thanks all.
I think I will wait until tomorrow.
    Give them a call.
I used business on Santander, and got unknown reference. Used it anyway with £20 (their minimum), it wasn't showing up yesterday evening. Checked their site shows 'transactions work 09:00-17:00'. I added after that, but all fine today

The NI resident restriction seems to have gone:
“The account is available to existing Members and new customers resident in the UK, aged 18 or over.”

    @Special_Saver2
Anyone outside NI been able to register for the account yet.
All I get is the following
We are sorry an error has occurred. Please contact our Online Support Team on 0800 0294 997 for assistance or Submit an Enquiry and we’ll get back to you within 2 business days.

Spoke to a very nice lady after I missed a call back this morning. Apparently having tried to register an account first on my mobile and then via Firefox and finally Chrome on my desktop I now have 3 partial registrations on the system. Unfortunately all the managers were in a meeting but she said would see what she could do at the back end and get back to me later in the day or Monday. Methinks they would have saved themselves some pain if it was explicitly stated that you needed to open an account either via a laptop or desktop.

Oh dear, I've probably got at least two half registrations on their system then in that case.

Progressive are having a few issues at the moment.
    Todays payments went through late.
    They are via Barclays.

Just checked and my £300 has arrived. I sent a £1 test payment and when it was confirmed over the phone I sent £299.00.
I also tried to link my bank, this button was not avalible until after first deposit was made.
But its not working at the moment, you get as far as ref, at the bottom of the page, tried Reg saver etc and acc number but nothing works.
Hellen their rep is very polite and helpful, she is looking into the issue and hopes to call me tonight or Monday.
FD does not like their ref No, but if you proceed it works its self out.
    I used small business option.

i opened the Progressive BS RS today. I sent a £10 test deposit by bank transfer which is now showing, so I have sent an additional £290.
The Gross/AER rate showing on my account is 0.26%, yet the summary document shows 7.0%.
i have managed to link my bank account for future withdrawals.

    Progressive BS

i feel like they only seem to be progressive by name…

I received the call from them when it didn’t like my ID, they told me my ID was fine and to try register again and to click “don’t have photo ID” so it will flag their end and they will accept it. I get all the way through the registration process and after picking marketing preferences it gives me another error.

I don’t expect to hear anything from them now till Monday… feels like this has been the most error registration I have had 😅

Progressive - not a slick operation but 7% and really friendly staff.  Think that they are overwhelmed and their IT systems not able to cope.  Shades of Monmouthshire BS!
