They must have been inundated with people trying unsuccessfully trying to open the account over the weekend, as I've been waiting for an hour to speak to someone!allegro120 said:
Progressive. I've made three or four unsuccessful attempts, both on desktop (Chrome) and phone (Safari). Then I called and spoke to a human who helped me to open the account. Waiting time for the call to be answered was about 10 seconds and the whole process took about 4 minutes.surreysaver said:
I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow to speak to a humantrickydicky14 said:
ME TOO, I sailed through the sign up process only to be given an error message on the final screen, told to ring up. What a pain in the butt.surreysaver said:
I'm getting the same from the Progressive. I've tried in Chrome on my laptop and mobile, and the Microsoft browser on my laptop. None of them seem to allow me to complete the registration.BestSeagull said:pokemaster said:Progressive BS
i feel like they only seem to be progressive by name…
I received the call from them when it didn’t like my ID, they told me my ID was fine and to try register again and to click “don’t have photo ID” so it will flag their end and they will accept it. I get all the way through the registration process and after picking marketing preferences it gives me another error.
I don’t expect to hear anything from them now till Monday… feels like this has been the most error registration I have had 😅
I've had a lot of difficulty too and after finally getting to the end of the registration part and submitting, I got that same error message on the marketing preferences page.
Has anyone figured out how to make their website work?
Seems like an IT system not up to the job againI consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?1 -
Anyone else got a Tipton Regular Saver Issue 1 (5.75%) that should have matured after 12 months but is still sitting there, weeks after the maturity date, with the title and interest rate unchanged?0

It's not due until the end of this month. The full name of this account is "Tipton & Coseley Regular Saver until 31.07.24".friolento said:Anyone else got a Tipton Regular Saver Issue 1 (5.75%) that should have matured after 12 months but is still sitting there, weeks after the maturity date, with the title and interest rate unchanged?2 -

Currently there is a problem with their online system, when it says you have 5 minutes to enter details, the software behind the system is only actually giving you thirty seconds.
It is a known problem and they are hoping for it to be fixed later today.0 -
Managed to open the Progressive account okay, but cannot add my Nominated Bank Account, says it invalid. I bank with Lloyds. Had to call them and I am waiting for the call back. Glad I only sent £20.00.

Earlier I wrote that Progressive are having to add in a number of sort codes for English and Scottish banks into their systems. I phoned them, the team added in my sort code and after a couple of days it worked. Money will still go through. You could phone them or send a message to them online.

I had that problem with Lloyds as well, probably because it has lots of sort codes and they're not, "all in the system" as a previous poster was told by Progressive. Do you have any accounts with e.g., First Direct or Nationwide? They have very few sort codes. As another poster said it was successful for them, I made mine FD and it worked.Hal17 said:Managed to open the Progressive account okay, but cannot add my Nominated Bank Account, says it invalid.
