Normally, when I open a TSB Monthly Saver, I make the first payment to it via Standing Order from a TSB current account, than all other payments come from my non TSB current account, always works fine. However, yesterday, I made my first payment as a Faster Payment from my TSB current account. Today, I've received an email from TSB reminding me to set up a S.O. from my TSB current account. As I've already now made my payment for this month, I've set up a S.O. from my TSB current account for May. Can anyone tell me if I can just cancel this S.O. in a few days and continue to do what I normally do and send via S.O. from my non TSB current account (ie, will just setting up the S.O. have satisfied their system, so I can then cancel it?).0

TSB monthly saverMy experience is that TSB always send an email reminding me to set up a standing order. I have always ignored said email and funded by faster payments from my TSB current account. Ms Descrabled always funds from her Lloyds account. Neither of us have ever had any problems. I don't think TSB check that you have this standing order. You do not need to use a standing order and can cancel any standing order you set up.I will be stopping all regular savers with interest under 6.25% in the new tax year after paying into the ISAs. I will no longer fund the TSB monthly saver amongst others.2

I did send them a polite message on online banking so I will just leave it at that, if i dont get it I dont get it. I guess if a month goes past and ive heard nothing i would have some grounds for a complaint but lifes too short.
Ok bizarre updates on my co-op regular saver application. Now over two weeks since application made and no savings account open for me. I did send a polite message a week ago which they took there time replying to but eventually replied asking me for the application number. Of course there is no application number on the email confirming - so I called in to explain and ask whats up. The lady who answered the phone found my application, told me it had been accepted and would appear in my internet banking over the next couple of working days. Amazing I thought. However another week passed and nothing appeared. Now today I have received a letter in the post asking me to upload photos of my ID documents to get my regular saver open. I find this extremely bizarre. 1) I was told the application had been successful already 2) Why did they accept me as a customer and open a current account for me with electronic checks, but for an associated savings account they now want photos and documents? Crazy. In all honesty I think they are trying to hinder me from opening the savings account but were happy to accept a new customer for a current account.0 -

DJDools said:Very odd. I wonder what would happen if you applied for the saver again... (And take screenshots, perhaps.)
Thanks, yes its odd. What you say might work, but I am just gonna leave it as one application to save it becoming even more of a mess. Trying to call them to ask about it and am told wait time is over 60 minutes. I'll upload what they ask I think and wait and see what happens. I was willing to just let it go before but asking for KYC to open it has annoyed me a little, they already opened my current account !!!!!!. I'll upload what they ask and if its not opened after that I will complain and ask 1) Why was I told application successful and it would appear in online banking when that wasn't true. 2) Why was I asked for identity documents to open an associated savings account, when my details had already been approved for a current account which was opened a month previously.
It's not lost on me the letter asking for ID is headlined "We are looking forward to welcoming you to the Co-operative Bank". I've already been accepted and welcomed in !!!!!!.0 -

In the end, they offered me a telephone appointment and it was opened within 30 minutes. I had to persist with the secure messages to arrange this though as the telephone wait time was over 1 hour each time. They are still investigating the online failures. Perhaps you could if you could arrange a pre-arranged call?1 -
granta said:I had a similar situation in that my online application was never recognised. I tried 3 times and each time got a holding email but no application number. I sent several secure messages but they could not trace any of the applications!

This is good info thanks a lot. Does sound similar, I will try a couple more messages before doing anything. They really make it difficult to open this savings account.1 -
Lloyds CL MS 6.25
Withdrawn all funds to close and get interest ahead of tax year. Balance £0. Both app and website say can’t close for some reason and need to go to branch or call. Anyone had this and been able to fix it without human intervention please? Not doing the renewal trick, as not long left before can open another due to anniversary and don’t want to annoy Lloyds. If you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.
