This was, to the exact minute, completely accurate. Ty CuparLad.CuparLad said:Re: GatehouseThe Faster Payment I sent Gatehouse yesterday morning was acknowledged by text at 14:06 the same day and credited dated 1st April. They normally acknowledge via text at 13:0-something so suggests their systems hadn't cottoned on to the time change over the weekend.0 -
Thanks. Did you close online? I'm being told I have to either go in to branch or call.chris_the_bee said:
Both myself and OH closed old one early and immediately opened new ones.sta0612 said:Hi all, thank you for the various responses regarding the BOS Monthly Saver renewal. Interesting/disappointing to hear others have had the same issue.
If I simply close the account, with the aim of being paid the accrued interest now (if that's possible), will I be barred from opening a new one until the account opening anniversary date?0 -
That's interesting thank you for pointing that out. I did try a fast payment from our Lloyds account but it did not go through. Perhaps I might try again before my standing order kicks in.Descrabled said:TSB have this peculiar set-up where you cannot transfer directly from the TSB current account to the regular saver. You can, however, send a faster payment from the TSB current account by adding a new payee, checked by COP of course.Ms Descrabled sends her £250 by faster payment from her Lloyds current account.

I did it last year. As much as I remember I "renewed" Monthly Saver into one of 'easy access' accounts and could open a new Monthly Saver immediately, just needed to log off after "renewal" and login again to open Monthly Saver. All was done online, no phone calls or branch visits.sta0612 said:

Does anyone have a regular saver with Hanley Economic BS?
I have one and consistently find that there is a delay of 24 hours before my monthly standing order is credited and showing in the app.
Its the only RS where I have this delay. Anyone else?0 -
Monmouth are always the last of mine. Don't expect my FPs to show till tomorrow. Last month it took two days.0

@gt94sss2, I have the HEBS regular saver too, I always make a ‘faster payment’ on the 1st of the month and it always takes a day to show. They clearly don’t work on a bank holiday either as my payment from yesterday still isn't showing, will presumably show tomorrow. All my other regular savers credited the payments yesterday, on a bank holiday.gt94sss2 said:Does anyone have a regular saver with Hanley Economic BS?

They credited my initial deposit, made by debit card, on the day of deposit.
All my subsequent SO deposit were credited the working day after they were sent.
I was looking at this account this afternoon and debated for a minute whether to close it. At 5.5% (var) and no end date, I think it's still a valuable account and I don't really have a better place for it, so I'll keep it running.
