To be honest i don't look in to it that much. I know that is a habit of many on here but really i don't care. I see a question, i answer it or i don't and i move on. I may call back in to see what other answers have come in or i may not.

I do not however go checking out a posters history and see what i can make of it. I know many like to do that and many have done that with me. It's a habit i've never understood but each to their own.
It doesn't take much to notice the OP almost never replies to their own threads so I wouldn't think it was that difficult to understand why you would then want to check the user's profile which does indeed confirm that observation.  It's not a normal posting pattern and given the OP has never answered why they do it when asked the only reasonable explanation I can see is they're carrying out survey activities.

Each to their own. It shows a persons posting habits I suppose.

I look at a question, i may or may not answer it & then that's it, done. I don't look who's asked it, i don't particularly care. It doesn't mean anything to me ... but then clearly it does mean something to others.

The only time names stand out to me is when someone does something irritating. Perhaps they try and make something out of nothing. Very irritating. Perhaps they go delving through my post history and pull something from 5 years ago in an attempt to use it against me. More of an eye roller and a how sad can you be than irritating but it still stands out. I'll take a look at the username in these cases but my memory is poor so i forget it after the first case or so.

When i see the same names doing the same things time and time and time again then they become memorable. There's a few on here where if they reply to my thread, i'm instantly thinking here we go again. Sometimes we don't go again. Often we do. I wont name those names because people get upset over it. I know the flipside to that is my name will trigger negative thoughts across many other members as well.

    Such is life.
