Signed up with Demon Internet in 1997. The cost was £10 a month + VAT which was a total of £11.75. For that I was able to access the internet only. All usage was charged at BT standard call rates. I had to download a script to follow to set up the connection. It took about an hour to complete. When I was finished I felt like a dog with 2 tails.0

My first was Freeserve, pay as you go dial up (56k) with a frog modem. Then I was with Pipex for my first ADSL Max (up to 8 meg) contract.0

Freeserve as well i think, I seem to recall we also moved to NTL and Orange. I think Orange might have been our first wireless provider.
