Two other aspects to explore. Again, has this been legally challenged?

Familiarity: Again, as stated above, I have used Southend airport for many years as a personal and business traveller. Parking, no issue. Picked up 4 times in 2019 prior to the new traffic enforcement. On the date of the alleged, this is the first time I was greeted with the "new rules" hence the confusion. Was i expected to check again?

Signage: As the driver, 29 years with a licence, no points, no fines and NCB to match, why was I unable to comprehend the signage? Not forward facing, and very confusing (not Highway code standards).

the IPC CoP should detail what should happen with any "new rules" , I know the BPA CoP does, so in those guideline "rules" you have your answer aboit any new changes , but yes a driver is expected to read the signs all the time , wherever they are, in case things change , be it motorways , service stations , hospitals , supermarket car parks , whatever , especially if contracts apply in which case the CRA 2015 may also apply

if a council decided to change the speed on a country road from say 60 mph to 40 or 30 mph due to accidents etc, then yes signage should indicate this but a driver is still expected to adhere to the signs, not "what it used to be" , because familiarity breeds contempt

few parking companies use signage that is clear and unambiguous, possibly because they WANT drivers to fail , rich pickings etc , its been their business model for several years now

Ok, my defence is almost completed (will post soon)
Thinking a step ahead, can we give more than one witness statement? Our defence can only heavily rely on the account of the driver and not the keeper (defendant).

    How is this approached?

What has age got to do with it? Several others on this forum are older than that - me included.

Quite SIMPLY... you did not have to do it.

Can you not spell her name? It's an online form. could easily be sent by anyone - in her name.

My god, this aspect is huge. She has said to me that we should just pay them as the poor employees of VCS won't be able to to put food on the table for their families..... A totally different era to the modern "rip off Britain" culture. This is the biggest hurdle in our defence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it me, or does the help dry up when it comes down to the reality of a court appearance?
Lots of ignore this, and ignore that advice when the initial ransom letters come through, then you all disappear.

As an engineer, my usual forums are about building destroyed mechanical devices. We all bend over backwards to help the person that doesn't know a hammer from a vernier calliper, with 1000 encouraging replies per minute.... not here it would seem.

Maybe us underdogs (newbies) should sign off.

I think there's a certain amount of truth in what you say.  A lot of the advice is vague, especially when it comes to specific cases as the answers are along the lines of "search for mentions of ransomes" etc.  Doesn't really help as this just means reading hundreds of threads where the word is mentioned rather than getting to the answer quickly. The reality is that the vast majority of people who come here are not serial litigants, nor well versed in the law, so struggle to get into the mindset that is needed to produce a watertight case.
A lot of IT fora (especially Linux) are like this, where knowledge is presupposed and if you don't have it then it is a battle to know where to start, what to look for, and even how to ask the right question. Many IT greybeards have little patience, poor social skills and a superiority complex.
What would be more useful than repeating the same "help" each time (and probably take less effort) would be for a forum of successfully won cases to be maintained, so that appropriate threads can be referred to directly.  This way newbies could avoid wading through hours-worth of reading only to get to the end and find the defence was not adequate.

frankly. its simple , this isnt a legal aid forum, its a consumer rights forum , Martin Lewis would tell you to consult a lawyer so feel free to do so , most volunteers on here (unpaid by the way) havent been to court or know the court process for MCOL claims , never mind bylaws issues like airports , there are less than a handful of people on here with legal or specialised knowledge who MAY help out, but could actually do it 24/7/365 PRO BONO (free of charge) and still not keep up , never mind the fact they cant or wont

its a free forum, you havent paid for any advice , so if people can assist you then they may do, but it may also have come to your attention there are dozens and dozens of posts and threads on here daily, all with a #metoo attitude and wanting assistance in legal matters free of charge. I doubt that you did your daytime work for free plus I assume you were trained to a high degreee is your field before volunteering information at all, never mind for free

the forums you talk about probably are for those topics and have other engineers who can help , but your questions are for lawyers, not free volunteers , plus lawyers who do understand this topic charge hundreds or thousands of pounds, like Nick Mr Loophole Freeman, HAVE YOU ASKED HIM ABOUT IT ?? (probably would charge you ten grand, especially if your name was Beckham)

Most lawyers that I know have little or no knowledge about this parking topic and the court claims that arise (neither did Rinder a few weeks ago) , they tend to know about wills , probate , defending criminals or those who have been arrested , conveyancing and corporate law

I would say that most people who come here have never been to Southend Airport (mine is Manchester and I bet you know little about that one as it changes daily) , never seen the bays , never seen the signs , never had a VCS pcn for that site , no idea about layout etc apart from the bylaws maps etc , never fallen foul of this situation and never had a court claim issued for anything at all, never mind a parking incident

coupon mad is a teacher (or was) , so if you need specialist advice about her profession or disability or equality act advice then she is the person for it , others on here are CAB or union helpers , I know far more about telecomms than the law

if I want to know how to fly a plane I can use the internet , youtube and books to find out, as can you , but that doesnt make you a pilot nor give you the right to board a dreamliner and insist that the captain explains how to fly it and gives free lessons whilst all the other holidaymakers just want him to take off

I personally told you to check that whatsapp group one where UKPPO was involved because almost every scenario was covered by those who participated, they started their own group to fight ukppo, have you done the same ? I doubt it

methinks thou dost protest too much , given that this is a parking forum , not a legal or court claim forum , when I first came here it wasnt about bylaws or MCOL court claims (court claims that were initiated back in 1973) , it was about private pcn,s and appealing , read what my signature says about legal matters

had you come here 5 years ago , court claims were extremely rare , so every newbie that comes here with a court case can feel free to try a legal help forum like legal beagles if they so wish, because once a court claim starts its nothing to do with Parking Tickets , Fines and Parking

I agree, so ask MSE to set one up, get it properly moderated by people who volunteer and have the specialised knowledge to assist those in need, because this forum isnt it , never has been and never will be , partly because MSE isnt setup to be a legal beagles forum

we did have a way on the old forum to find successful cases because a useful phrase of a hit song by Queen was added to the replies, so searching the phrase found the relevant threads and posts , but this new forum is awful and the search function hasnt worked properly since its inception, you wont find many members here that like this new forum, we all much prefer the old one

I know that if I want linux help for my projects I can go to a dedicated board where experts abound and have the answers, but on the other hand they are not competing with solicitors who are bound by the SRA and laws etc

    Thanks for your feedback
In my own remit, I studied Engineering for 14 years beyond school. As a senior engineer, that involves blood and sweat, sitting in a classroom learning the incracies of steam technology whilst the art students were partying in the park.
I've earned the right to be on par with doctors, surgeons, lawyers, barristers and alike but in my own field.
They allow me to counter sign passports aswell.
I honestly need you guys to help me. My white flag is up! To do a deal, I am absolutely innocent, i've been duped by VCS, my mothering law is in tears.
If in turn, any of you need your Rolls Royce Bantam gearbox to be rebuilt, or a new bridge drafted up over your moat, i'll come round and do it for free.

Obviously, I could rebuild that gearbox for £198 per hour. I could redesign it for £626 per hour. (mates rates)
